| Quote Harrigan="Harrigan"I'll let you off then

But I dont think anyone expected to be blown away by him anyway. A lot on here were "underwhelmed" by the signing. I think he is solid though and will do a good job. If we are going to play that expansive, get the ball wide style that we played saturday we will do it better off the back of forwards who make the hard yards first. Cross and Peacock will make 100+ metres a game and 2 of the other 3 will make 60 or so if last year is any thing to go by. Hes also an extra aid in clearing our own line. Something we strugled at times doing last year. I can only see his signing as a good thing personally.'"
Agreed.
Whilst we're on forwards & hard yards... It's time for Burgess to step up this season. It was ok whilst he was still able to scrap into the "Youngsters" category but he's too old now (24 in February!). Ok, JP stands out as one of the best front rowers the game has seen so a Burgess/Peacock comparison is unfair (and a clear "no contest"), but we should be able to compare Burgess to Cross/Bailey/Leulaui now. Last season I was comparing him to Ambler & Pitts. He played well on NYD (albeit against a very weak Wakey pack) so I hope he's turned a corner. Never once even remotely been considered for England (RIGHTLY SO!), but there's no reason why not if Sam has cemented his place & Tom/George (18 y/o) both playing for England youth.
I like Burgess, but he needs to take it to the next level this year.

I agree and I am a fan of burgess. I think we will se a big year from him given game time. He will be playing for a contract and no dbout trying to impress NRL.

The hit on their kicker that he got binned for, will be the highlight of his season. Quote me on that aswell if you like!

That was a harsh yellow, I thought Kirke was committed and hit the kicker a fraction after it was kicked.
Although I quickly cheered up when some fella sat near me threw his pint down, stood up and screamed,
"SIN BIN? IT'S CHRISTMAS!"

| Quote McDermott seemed to be really hating that interview. Is he normally like this? The whole thing seemed very awkward imo '"
He talks in riddles sometimes!
Its intersting that he has smartened himself up with a shirt and jumper-At Quins he looked like he had come of a hill walk at times!!
Interesting comments about Burgess-when he came to Quins on loan the coaches(Mac) weren't that keen to hang onto him as he was seen as to slow!!

Who's Tongia? Not meaning to sound condescending but I havent a clue. That was Liam Hood, our 3rd choice hooker.

| Just Google'd the bloke. He's in the Cronulla squad and plays internationally for PNG. Not sure why you thought he played for us though.

RV was under the impression he was joining us. Then believed that he was the number 30 playing on NYD whilst on trial.
Strange way to piece things together like.
I must admit, i never heard of him until i read that and cant see why we'd need another FB at this present time!

How strange?! I'd not even heard of us signing him let alone a trail on NYD.
Also... pretty hard to confuse the two! Even from the very back of the Main Stand!

Slight skin tone issue?
