Quote: Jrrhino "So I was a bit intrigued after our link with Rapana and hearing we missed out on him (personally I'm glad as I don't think he's the right use of a quota spot as a 35 year old winger)

So my source did some digging and Brad Arthur wants to re jig our backlike and forward pack and we could be in for a few shocks for next season.

Apparently Brad Arthur sees Ash Handley as a left centre !! We've obviously tried Handley at Centre before and personally he's isn't one for me he's a out and out winger but Brad Arthur wants him inside Ryan Hall for 2025. Arthur apparently isn't keen on Momirovski and could be looking to move him on, hence why he could move Handley to centre next year. Arthur wants to bring in a Oversea's winger and that's why we was in for Jordan Rapana, we've made Contact with Maika Sivo and again another surprise we've contacted Semi Radradra who is currently playing RU in France for Lyon he played under Brad Arthur at Parramatta between 2013-2017. If we offer Radradra a deal it will be very interesting as we would get salary cap dispensation like we did when we signed Kyle Eastmond because he has been out of the game of RL for more than 5 years now so could be very interesting off season under Brad Arthur coming up.'"

Crikey. This has been the problem for years now. We're always in need of surgery in 3 or 4 positions, when we only have quota spaces for a couple. Hence we take a gamble on forcing somebody to play out of position. For what it's worth I think Handley is a much stronger player than last time we tried him at centre, but I would feel a bit for Mom, who's looked a good player over the last month or so. Whatever happens I hope we don't lose sight of the pack being the priority. Will be fascinating to see how it pans out.

I would rather we stick with Hall RW and Handley LW and bring in overseas players in the pack.
I see Mr Sezer has signed for Hull next season.

When fit and with decent platform he was good, but he was way too injury prone and inconsistent

I can see the thought process regarding the centre position in that neither of our existing centres hit the line hard and direct in the way that a typical NRL centre would do and Handley is our strongest and most direct runner in our back division. I would have concerns defensively with him and Hall on the left side. We had that type of player in macdonald but momorovski is not a like for like replacement.

Not a rumour, but just a thought - would Mike Eccles be a good assistant to groom for the head coach role? Always very impressive in press conferences, and has got a part-time team to be ultra committed and put the effort in, despite being beaten most weeks.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ian Watson was brought in as an assistant.

On a London theme I thought Lewis Beinek was the best prop on the field on Sunday. If we are planning to give Hudson and potentially Sangare/Goudemand the heave ho, we could do far worse in my opinion. That would be in addition to two senior props of course.

Yes I suggested the same in an earlier post and would much prefer him to Danny McGuire tbh.

Bienek would be a good choice and also Fenton Rogers at Huddersfield.
Both an improvement on Sangare and Goudemand.

Who knows who’d be best. Brad Arthur is a top coach, yet looks at the performance vs London!

Ian Blease in the YEP confirming we are looking at strengthening backs and forwards. Says they hope to announce a new signing before the end of the season. Your source seems pretty well informed.
