Lui is just too slow unfortunately.
We lack pace in our squad.
Even Handley who I'm still not convinced about, isnt FAST.
We have no one that can go length of the pitch.

Thought Lui was great TBH i was absolutely fuming that nobody backed him uo when he made that break in the second half

| According to Powell, we had 70% possession but it looked like more. Fair play to Cas for making the most of their limited chances. We conceded two brain-fart tries, which seems to be a habit of late. We missed Prior and Mik who must have been like two angry lorries to opposition players is season. King going off really didn’t help and Gale was missed. I lost count of the number of passes that were slightly behind, but there’s not too much to fix. We just need to eliminate the moments of brain freeze, get some bodies back and As Ghost of 99 points out, we have a run of games coming up that should present an opportunity to string together some decent results. I do think we’re still recovering from that spell of 4 games in 13 days, or whatever it was. Onwards…

| Most of the last play options taken near their line were abysmal. This has happened so often there are no excuses, it’s 2 thick hookers and the coaching team must take blame as well for not sorting it out.
I can understand why Gale gets p1ssed off. McGuire would have lost his voice screaming at this dense team.
If I was coaching i’d Tell them both you have to pass immediately on 5th tackle or you get fined. Job done.

| Disappointed with tonight, cas were happy to let us have so much ball because they knew we were clueless with it in hand, never looked dangerous and by the time it got passed out to our centres the cas defence was up on them. Hope kings alright he was down for some time and they needed oxygen for him, cas got away with multiple high tackles and Thaler didn’t seem to penalise it sufficiently to prevent it occuring again, can’t blame the ref for our poor showing though.
As others have said it is a repeat of the early season, you just have to wonder what we do in training to revert back to deer in headlights rugby so often!

Training?
They haven’t trained properly for months.
Not that Im excusing the poor showing tonight but the schedule on-top of COVID protocols means this season is really disjointed (not just for us I might add)

| Nah, not having that.
We looked clueless all night and were incapable of applying and maintaining pressure.
Bar the few moments of individual skill to tease open a very stubborn Cas D, we completely failed to break them down and they were worthy winners due to our inept, ponderous “play”

Not having what?
I said it wasn’t an excuse for tonight’s performance but it’s a fact we haven’t hardly trained as normal

| We looked tired and fatigued tonight and a bit clueless at times like others have said with no Gale or Prior there didn't seem much leadership or direction especially in attack. Cas looked fresh with most of there players not playing in about 2/3 weeks but silly errors in defence from us didn't help Thaler made his 400th game all about him like the previous 399 before that with some poor decisions. Lui played well tried all night scored a good solo try and made a couple of breaks, Hurrell again tried carried well but is so poor in defence and making decisions. Vuniyayawa is a bit of a concern for me and seems to get concussed a bit when he plays I think that's the 4th game this season now he's had too go off for HIA and failed ( he's tackle technique is pretty poor though and there was only one outcome the way he dived at Matagi knees and the position he put his head in .Cam Smith was our best player did well in a first receiver role for us and has great footwork for a middle forward. We might still squeak into play offs this season have to win games against sides below us and I think our magic weekend clash with Hull FC might decide who is in and around the play offs.
Was good too see Aiden Sezar watching in North stand with Kenny Edwards I can't wait too see him and Blake Austin in our halves next year. I'd really like too see Agar start Cam Smith at 13 and use Tetevano as an out and out prop which he is.
If we had a spine of
1.Myler
6. Austin
7. Sezer
9.Leeming
13. Smith
That's a great attacking threat and we'd move the ball really well.

| I know it would be a bit of a luxury, but Hurrell as an interchange Prop would work next season?
Wouldn't it?

| Also, Bodene Thompson.
After FIVE minutes he was puffing and couldn't even get back into our line.
He was literally stood in the Cas line for numerous plays
What's be that all about?!

| Yeah I noticed a lot of our players not tracking back to join our attack until the 3rd PTB, just shows lack of desire! Sooner next season comes the better

Agree with most of that. Smith should be 13 with Tetevano at Prop both their best positions. King needs to go imo

| If we ever have to witness Hurrell in a Leeds jumper again, it'll be too soon.
Agree about King also, it's pretty embarrassing
