How a coach manages giving a player like Mclelland an opportunity like this can be the making of them. Give him responsibility and license to show what he's capable of, if you are tentatively reluctant to put him in that's picked up by the player, fill him with confidence and let him get out there.

Agree 100% with this. That is what he is there for, so when the opportunity comes up, it should be his to go for. We already know Sutcliffe can’t do it in the halfs, so why keep repeating that mistake instead. Plus to be fair to Sutcliffe, he has just moved back into the forwards, and tried hard to cement that, moving him again helps no one.

Good point on Sutcliffe he's trying to make back row his position and then if he's asked to play 7 a position he's probably never played in life and if he then has a mare he's going to more stick from the fans.

I reckon his absence coupled with a good performance will either prove or disprove the doubters about Myler

My personal view is very few players go to France or Australia and come back better players. Myler has been a major let down for Leeds

Tripping v Hull KR last week

Any idea when this happened? The (useless) RFL website usually quotes the time of the incident in the disciplinary report but this time it just states "Tripping (Crookes)"

I think it happened late in 1st half on a kick chase. I remember thinking there was a trip by Myler so that must have been it unless there was another.

Predicting games this year is a lottery. Normally you'd think FC would rest a few and not be switched on ahead of a CC semi next week v wire.
