| Quote: Jack Burton "Farke out coached again there. No doubt everyone will talk about transfers, but the way the team is set up to attack is the issue. There's no connectivity meaning we struggle to progress the ball in attacking areas and create space.
It sounds contradictory, but Farke's tactics would probably work better in the prem because more teams will attack which will give us more transitions to exploit. However, in a league where we get the majority of possession, he's not shown that he can coach a fluid in possession attack.'"
Hmmm not sure about that he’s won the championship twice, he knows how it goes down in this league. But there are certainly questions being asked of him at the moment. We desperately could do with a creative 10 like Pablo was. This team struggles against the low block away from home, there’s not enough being created in final 3rd, also not enough goal threat from midfield.
But only 2 games ago we looked on fire. No need to throw Farke under the bus just yet. Frustratingly Ipswich are most definitely faltering and we can’t take advantage. Southampton look good for top 2 at the moment and we look playoff bound. If we can get that 10 signed and bring in decent left back cover we could go close to top 2 but let’s see. January is absolutely huge

| he who cannot be criticised had a massively worse december than this.
two difficult games, I'm not panicking yet. long, long way to go.
haven't seen either games as I'm away but wasn't there a blatant penalty and red card at 0-0? small margins

| Was a stone wall pen and red card mate. Shocking. That goes in we win it imo. Byram had one ruled out for offside too. Those small margins against a team with very good home form can make a difference

| Also challenge on Rutter is a pen 9 times from 10. We’re well on top at that stage too. Not having rub of green at the moment on top of a drop in form

Haha I was being optimistic that we will swap Anthony for Sinisterra by January.
All a little tongue in cheek admittedly.

| Didn`t see the game at all and listened to the first 15 minutes where we seemed to be well on top.
Mate of mine who went to the game thought we should have had at least 1 penalty and could/should have won it.
But once again with 63% possession and only 1 shot on target isn`t going to get us top two.
Farke needs to start revisiting his coaching manual and read how to work out how to beat teams who defend in blocks of 5 and how to outmuscle teams as we do not have the luxury of an enforcer anywhere in that team and for me Rodon is the only one who looks anything like someone who is solid at the back.

| Piroe was completely marked out of the game again. He doesn’t have the natural ability of a good 10 to find the space, take the ball in tight spaces and play a killer pass and that hurts us against teams like West Brom who are v solid at the back.
That's not knocking him btw he’s not a 10 and never has been. He can play ok there but too many times it’s hurt us. Farke needs to address that, either with a formation change or a signing. His use of subs is also questionable and needs improvement, we’ve only scored 1 goal this season from a player coming off the bench, second worst in the whole division..

| That`s an interesting and telling stat there mate.
I really don`t get how one of the best strikers in the Championship can all of a sudden play as a ten and his performances of late show how bad he is there.
Rutter for me has the creativity of a ten and Piroe has the skills of a nine and it seems obvious to me so what do I know?
I understand Rutter is better at closing the back 4 down and Piroe is too laboured to do that.
Maybe the closing down should come from James with Rutter dropping deeper to help the full back when the opposition are trying to clear from the back.
Over to Farke to come up with the solution, fast I hope.

| Yep agree mate. I think Piroe works best playing just off another striker (support striker in a 2 up front) not a 10. Or possibly in a front 3 as a 9. I bet he’d have scored a bucket load for Leicester as they look to play 3-5-2.
Anyway what do we know lol. Farke most certainly needs to find solutions but no need to panic yet. I’ve seen fans calling for his head on twitter which is ludicrous

| Exactly the game we needed after the last couple of games. Birmingham are relegation fodder under Rooney.

| Agree Tad and JB on your points.
What did we learn from today?
Cooper not good enough, Firpo can`t defend and Farke has finally decided to play Rutter as the 10.
Good win against a terrible side.
Good results from the Ipswich, Southampton and West Brom games.
Now give some of the bench/fringe players a game next Sunday.

| Classic Chapy always looking at the negatives. Firpos defence wasn’t the best but he had a great game.
No mentions of Bamford? Bet you were fuming with his goal

| firpos never been able to defend. but against sides like this he's fine. I'd still buy a left back though.
I'd play a very second string next week. give everyone a good rest. who cares if we go out

| I'd definitely rest Ampadu, Rutter and Summerville.
