Didn`t you know both Leeds Rhinos and Leeds United are to be called Leeds Reds.
I`m sure that would go down a storm at Elland Road

| Quote Exeter Rhino="Exeter Rhino"Not following the NRL, is this a good signing? Didn't we try to sign him a few years back and we ended up with Gale? Hastings must be getting on now... Who is going to make way? Frawley?'"
He's still 28, but he seems unsettled at Newcastle. It would be a bit brutal on Frawley especially given his recent form, but Blease has been brought in to make tough unsentimental calls. Still won't quite believe it till I see it.

Yes Frawley has had 3 decent games all season so lets stick with him

| Hastings has been poor to average this year, and wasn't much better last year. His lack of pace holds him back in the NRL more than it might in SL, but I don't see much point in replacing one slow halfback with another. I'd rather stick with Frawley and plan to get Sinfield more game time next season.

| Would be an odd one given Frawley has a year left and we have Sinfield to try give game time to.

| Not for me to much baggage, don’t particularly want Frawley but he has improved since Smith’s departure.
We could always get Brad Arthur’s son and hope his dad stays to coach him.

The only team Hastings has been settled at is Salford. There he was topdog and bossed the team, got everything he wanted, all of which made Hastings look special.
Before then and since then he was stunk out the clubs he's been at with a very toxic personality that demands to be centre of attention. Wigan got rid because of this, as have West's and now he's yet again unsettled at Newcastle.
If Leeds need players to create a positive/successful enviroment then Hastings really isn't your man.

| Sounds like its not happening anyway and was just speculation off the back of him struggling currently at Newcastle. Losing Martin is a shame but at least there is clarity now around the cap and available quota space and Leeds can plan recruitment properly for next year.
Clearly we need 2 big forwards either 2 props or 1 and a big back row and at least one of them needs to be able to play big minutes and match Oledski numbers. If we can add that and another high impact type to spell Lisone we would look more like in the pack. We have at least one spare marquee spot available as well
