Can't see us throwing "silly money" at Martin to be honest, he's not a local and by all reports it was Leeds who offered an improved contract and we've probably matched that or offered a fraction more. We're in a far better position of strength than Leeds at the moment, so I doubt we'd need to vastly improve his deal to land him as opposed to someone like a Wakefield or Hull FC who would have to throw significant "extras" at this stage.

He might conceivably by their 3rd marquee player alongside JWH and Lewis. But it does beg the question: who, other than Croft, are ours? We need spots 2 and 3 filling with nothing less than outstanding players this time around.

£20k per year extra is still a lot of cash, i don’t know but as you say he hasn’t gone for the location.

With the greatest respect i don't see what the club have to gain by saying that Blease has decided to remove him, or that he has left of his own account.
As mentioned i didn't think the YEP report made it it clear who had served notice.

Raw, but enthusiastic. We'll miss him, but that is a reflection of our relative pack strength rather than his current ability.
