| I think that's the most irritating bad result so far. It was clear it wasn't working, pretty quickly. We were losing all the 2nd balls, all the duels and lacked intensity.
All the bad results seem to have followed a short turnaround, and I could understand going with the same team after Saturday, but surely changes should have been made at HT at the latest, or at least swap Spence and Gray around, as it was clear that 2nd goal was coming all game because Gray was struggling and wasn't getting help from James.
As for Messlier? Beyond stupid.

| Said pretty much the same thing.
Gnonto should have started for James and why take Spence off when Gray was losing the battle most of the game?
Rutter too was off in the first half but Bamford or Joseph not the answer.
We do struggle when teams bully us or try to rough us up.

| Yep echo the above. It’s clear to see there’s a pattern when there’s a short turnaround, cannot understand why Gnonto didn’t start and I’d also have given Gruev a lot more game time if not a start. The left back is causing wider issues in the squad as we’re playing 2 players out of position. It’s definitely our major weakness. Gray is such a talent but he’s not quite good defensively yet and lacks physicality, not his fault as he’s a young kid but good wingers are having a field day against him. We need to get him back in midfield creating.
I think of Byram was fit we get a point there today at least. Needs to be addressed in Jan.
It’s not the end of the world but have to win Friday now especially as Ipswich got a point v Leicester. Long way to go but these daft results have to stop

| Spot on mate.
Relying on the same starting 11 each game when Farke already stated it wouldn`t happen is a mistake.
He could easily have rested Ampadu or Kamara and for me James to freshen us up.
All the good work against Ipswich undone against an average PNE.
And I hope I`m wrong but Darlow doesn`t exactly fill me with confidence, saying that I can`t say Messlier does at times

| And because he’s not using the squad they’re rusty when they come on as they’ve not had any minutes

It`s a tricky one but you need to get the correct balance and choose your games.
On the one hand change a winning team and lose and he gets stick for doing so.
On the other hand stick with what you have got and players get tired and like you said players with little game time are rusty and don`t perform to their potential.
For me games that come close together you should swap at least 2 preventing the rustiness and keeping others fresh.
My team for the FA Cup would be something like this:
Darlow
Ayling, Cresswell, Hjelde/Cooper, Firpo/Shackleton
Gyabi, Gruev,
Gnonto, Geldhart/Joseph, Anthony/Sinisterra
Bamford
But some of those mentioned might have already left or gone out on loan hence the alternatives

1157.jpg It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.:1157.jpg |

| I’d be surprised if he plays Sinisterra mate.

| Farke out coached again there. No doubt everyone will talk about transfers, but the way the team is set up to attack is the issue. There's no connectivity meaning we struggle to progress the ball in attacking areas and create space.
It sounds contradictory, but Farke's tactics would probably work better in the prem because more teams will attack which will give us more transitions to exploit. However, in a league where we get the majority of possession, he's not shown that he can coach a fluid in possession attack.

| Sounds like a night in a&e with my 5 year old was probably marginally preferable to watching that.

Hmmm not sure about that he’s won the championship twice, he knows how it goes down in this league. But there are certainly questions being asked of him at the moment. We desperately could do with a creative 10 like Pablo was. This team struggles against the low block away from home, there’s not enough being created in final 3rd, also not enough goal threat from midfield.
But only 2 games ago we looked on fire. No need to throw Farke under the bus just yet. Frustratingly Ipswich are most definitely faltering and we can’t take advantage. Southampton look good for top 2 at the moment and we look playoff bound. If we can get that 10 signed and bring in decent left back cover we could go close to top 2 but let’s see. January is absolutely huge

| he who cannot be criticised had a massively worse december than this.
two difficult games, I'm not panicking yet. long, long way to go.
haven't seen either games as I'm away but wasn't there a blatant penalty and red card at 0-0? small margins

| Was a stone wall pen and red card mate. Shocking. That goes in we win it imo. Byram had one ruled out for offside too. Those small margins against a team with very good home form can make a difference

| Also challenge on Rutter is a pen 9 times from 10. We’re well on top at that stage too. Not having rub of green at the moment on top of a drop in form

Haha I was being optimistic that we will swap Anthony for Sinisterra by January.
All a little tongue in cheek admittedly.

| Didn`t see the game at all and listened to the first 15 minutes where we seemed to be well on top.
Mate of mine who went to the game thought we should have had at least 1 penalty and could/should have won it.
But once again with 63% possession and only 1 shot on target isn`t going to get us top two.
Farke needs to start revisiting his coaching manual and read how to work out how to beat teams who defend in blocks of 5 and how to outmuscle teams as we do not have the luxury of an enforcer anywhere in that team and for me Rodon is the only one who looks anything like someone who is solid at the back.
