| Six months' notice just doesn't sound right. Maybe he wanted out for a while, told the club and hung around until he got a better offer? Doesn't sound great either way.
Martin will be a loss if he goes, but we need more punch in the back row as well as prop. Might be less about quota and more about freeing up cap space.

| We’ve also signed bill leyland from London on a 2 year deal so the one year Mickey Mac deal supports that transition whilst adding a bit of grunt which we sometimes lack. Don’t see him playing every game think all 3 will alternate
Parcell was meant to be retiring, head back home with his degree in tow and start a career, but money talks and could do one more year.
Still top quality for us

With the greatest respect, you can't actually be that gullible?

With the greatest of respect, he’s correct, he’s been known to be leaving well before Blease arrived, it’s only just been made public.
Why would they make that up?

I must have missed you / anyone mentioning it on here in that case.
Fairly obvious why they would try spin it this way.

| Loosing Martin is a blow, he has been one of the best value overseas signing in SL era and I dare say ever. He will be missed badly and will add to one of our main rivals. Those saying he lacks punch and thinking we can just get a better quality player with the snap of the fingers are a bit deluded.
Hopefully Gannon can get and stay fit fulfil his potential (which i doubt) and Littlewood can step up next year otherwise we look really light again.

I think you’ve nailed it with the 2 points about Micky Mc.
Along with JWH , Peters can start a hard front row when he wants , Litten can come off the bench.
MM is a tough competitor and can also train Leyland up for a year. Leyland is a strong, Athletic guy with a lot of potential, albeit off the back of a bad injury
MM will be a leader in the dressing room as well,

I'm not one for nostalgia signings/resignings but of all our overseas players he's rarely injured, makes few errors and is a great kicker. Please dont let him go. Probably our most consistant player of the last 5 years.

Yep, we've now reached that familiar part of the season where any form of real success seems beyond our reach, yet there appears to be no tangible plan in place to provide real confidence that the things will improve. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure there is a plan in place, but if it involves letting our most consistent perfomer (and goalkicker) go it's going to have to include some pretty sensational recruitment to get large parts of the fanbase back on side.

| Whilst it would be a shame to see Rhyse leave, it’s not the end of the world. I feel a lot more confident with BA providing the input into the squad and to IB about recruitment than if any of our last few coaches were still at the helm.
We’re all saying we need a couple of props and a hard running back rower. Perhaps this opens up possibilities to get them?

Not everything gets posted on here. For obvious reasons.
Look believe what you want it’s no bother to me.

| Ill be sad to see Rhyse go but if KR are willing to throw silly money at him, which will probably be his last deal then he goes with my best wishes.
We can’t be held hostage to paying big wages.

Can't see us throwing "silly money" at Martin to be honest, he's not a local and by all reports it was Leeds who offered an improved contract and we've probably matched that or offered a fraction more. We're in a far better position of strength than Leeds at the moment, so I doubt we'd need to vastly improve his deal to land him as opposed to someone like a Wakefield or Hull FC who would have to throw significant "extras" at this stage.
