Very disappointing news indeed. Has been excellent for us. One would hope the announcement is countered with that of some high quality incomings.

Disappointing, but it does free up a quota spot (apologies if I misunderstood what eventually transpired with his PNG passport). The right kind of replacement could make a big difference.

Means we can start looking for a punchier back row along with a prop or two.

The forthcoming changes to the quota ( if they go through) would have meant he would have been coming off in any case. We better have a really good plan if we are going to get anywhere near in 2025.

I cant blame Martin. He's been great for us but this will be his last deal. If someone is offering a longer or better paid deal he would be silly not to take it.

He will be missed for sure, just *hope* we have a few options in sights for 25.

YEP reports that Hunwicks has left after working 6 months notice. Not sure if it means he has handed his notice in or the club made the decision. Either way, if that is correct, Blease can't have had any input.

Six months' notice just doesn't sound right. Maybe he wanted out for a while, told the club and hung around until he got a better offer? Doesn't sound great either way.

Martin will be a loss if he goes, but we need more punch in the back row as well as prop. Might be less about quota and more about freeing up cap space.

We’ve also signed bill leyland from London on a 2 year deal so the one year Mickey Mac deal supports that transition whilst adding a bit of grunt which we sometimes lack. Don’t see him playing every game think all 3 will alternate

Parcell was meant to be retiring, head back home with his degree in tow and start a career, but money talks and could do one more year.

Loosing Martin is a blow, he has been one of the best value overseas signing in SL era and I dare say ever. He will be missed badly and will add to one of our main rivals. Those saying he lacks punch and thinking we can just get a better quality player with the snap of the fingers are a bit deluded.

Hopefully Gannon can get and stay fit fulfil his potential (which i doubt) and Littlewood can step up next year otherwise we look really light again.

Along with JWH , Peters can start a hard front row when he wants , Litten can come off the bench.

MM is a tough competitor and can also train Leyland up for a year. Leyland is a strong, Athletic guy with a lot of potential, albeit off the back of a bad injury

MM will be a leader in the dressing room as well,
