Finally got an update regarding Rhyse Martin and it's news majority we'll be disappointed to hear. Rhyse told the club he's accepted a deal to sign with Hull KR from 2025 I'd imagine this will be officially announced soon.

If I was a kr fan my issue would be less about Mickey Mac’s style and more about his age. I know they also have Litten who is decent but I assume there’s a reason the coach has chosen to start parcell over him most of this year. |

Disappointing, but it does free up a quota spot (apologies if I misunderstood what eventually transpired with his PNG passport). The right kind of replacement could make a big difference.

The forthcoming changes to the quota ( if they go through) would have meant he would have been coming off in any case. We better have a really good plan if we are going to get anywhere near in 2025. |

Fair, and I agree.
I cant blame Martin. He's been great for us but this will be his last deal. If someone is offering a longer or better paid deal he would be silly not to take it.
He will be missed for sure, just *hope* we have a few options in sights for 25. |

YEP reports that Hunwicks has left after working 6 months notice. Not sure if it means he has handed his notice in or the club made the decision. Either way, if that is correct, Blease can't have had any input.

Six months' notice just doesn't sound right. Maybe he wanted out for a while, told the club and hung around until he got a better offer? Doesn't sound great either way.
Martin will be a loss if he goes, but we need more punch in the back row as well as prop. Might be less about quota and more about freeing up cap space.
