| Quote The Magic Rat="The Magic Rat"London have something we are missing. A willingness to give everything on the pitch for the cause. They don't have many quality players but their team spirit is light years ahead of ours.
Relegation is a serious possibility. Sinfield referred to the Bradford game as rock bottom, that may be a bit premature.'"
100% correct.
London and HKR both have spirit and enthusiasm.
Currently we have none of these qualities.
Players appear not to care, it's just a job and they continue to get paid despite their poor performances. D
Losing doesn't hurt their pockets. Oh for the days of win bonuses.

| I think one of the reasons we are down here is also one of the reasons we may get out of it.
For me, or squad is very deep. The problem is that most of the squad is not of the required quality. We have lots of bodies to come back but we're still putting out close to a first choice team. The problem is that because so many of our players are poor or playing poorly we don't have a bunch of players who are dead certs to play but lots of interchangeable mediocre players.

| One of the big problems is that instead of dropping players out of the squad, we simply put them in a different position in the team, same players different positions, If they are not performing they should be out of the squad not give them another chance in a different position. Talk about square pegs in round holes. get rid of these underperformers.

| Heared from someone well within this. Furner had said he wanted to clear the deadwood out and was told there is no more money to work with. This squad is all there is work with it.
We are in really bad shape

If that is the case surely Furner will have known this before he signed

| No money to work with? wouldn't be if you are paying 2 coaches a year off, signing players who are injury prone, throwing contracts at players who are so obviously past it & creating new rolls within the club for ex players. New stands look nice mind.

Furner probably wanted to clear out certain players immediately and dispassionately, golden generation or not. He was here to oversee the changing of the guard (finally) and bringing the next gen in.
This probably led to the tale of the infamous transfer list circulating with Cuthbo, Parcell etc on and more than likely unsettled some others in the squad who Sinfield is close to and rather than letting Furner crack on with clearing them out weve gone down the route of letting them have a swansong season on their own terms.
Furner now under pressure to improve some bad results has turned round and probably gone down the route of "ive gone as far as I can with what I have, the squad needs breaking up, Kev not willing to pull the trigger has backed him into a corner and off Furner goes.

| Your last sentence suggests that Furner left but I'm fairly sure GH sacked him.

Maybe, but the debacle before the season started might have indicated he didn't really want to come over anyway (possibly after hearing he couldn't make the sweeping changes). Was it Sinfield's decision looking after his old playing mates?
All hints at something not right in the management. Don't worry though, at least GH didn't get his way with keeping the m8s.
