| I see Chris Satae is available for next year. In is 30's but I wonder if he might be worth a shot as a Lisone replacement? Big plus would be that he has quota exemption from next year and would therefore free us up to use our other spots on a bit more strike.

I'm kinda torn on the NRL stuff.
I do think we need less teams, the bottom two teams are always basically whipping boys but I understand why the teams need a longer season for more money.
I'd rather 10 teams with the money spread between the less pots so those 10 having less of a talent gap. The extra weeks with no games could then be used for either international games or some kind of origin rip off for international prep.
No point going to 8 teams ,trying to merge teams that won't work, less games or spammed re matches if it's for nothing.
Sad fact is that the salary cap has always worked to the bottom rung of the ladder after it stabilised the big clubs. With the NRL cap being so high there is no chance of any player coming unless he has serious baggage or near retirement and SL just doesn't seem to be able to move enough young good players to being good or great at SL level, nevermind international
Problem with going to 10 teams (apart from loss of games fans etc) is that in a few years we'll be debating 8 high quality then 6. Race to the bottom

| Will Pryce has been released by Newcastle and has signed with a SL club. I assume it's Hull.

The problem with going up teams means less money for all from the central pot, more games that are just a wupping and more chance of teams going under trying to compete with the SC.

| Watkins expressed a desire to sign for us, he refused to play for Salford.
He would add some much needed strike to the side.

| Rumours that the French clubs may have their central funding cut.
Catalans and Toulouse are arguably the biggest success story on the modern era, and we're going to cast them aside in the name of myopic penny pinching.

would be ideal and gives us some much needed leadership and exp in the pack and a bit of power. He's easily got 2 years left in him. Would get cap exemption also i believe with him club produced/being homegrown..

I’m torn on the French clubs. Toulouse especially are a problem for other English Rugby League teams. The amount of travel for the clubs with part time squads and the financial implications for any of the clubs and players can’t be great. The lack of travelling Toulouse spectators through other clubs gates is a problem that will never be solved. As for Catalans, the same problem applies with no travelling Catalans fans, and a lack of atmosphere in the ground when they come to England. The away game at Cats is a sterile affair for 99% of English fans who watch on TV while the other 1% go for a p*** up. I’m not really that bothered for attempting to expand the game any further to an imaginary supporter base that doesn’t in reality exist, so if it means cutting funding for Catalans to reinvigorate the English scene I’m not particularly bothered.

| I'm all for expansion clubs. The wider the audience the better. Seems to me the only way to get a better experience for the French clubs playing over here is to expand their fan base to the non traditional areas of the country. Lets say that Catalan can get a following of fans in the capital or somewhere else like the Midlands or even derby then their away support will improve. This has to be marketed properly, take a big club on the road and give it everything to get bodies through the gate. Leeds vs Catalan at City Ground in Nottingham or villa park. Give it half the effort that they do for state of origin and I'm sure it could draw a big crowd. Play an attractive game, like a lot have been this year so far, and it could introduce a whole new audience. Whichever body that is in charge need to grab some marketing and put their money where their mouth is. We have a product that is worth shouting about. No half d efforts, keep at it and if it fails, try again

The on the Road names in the nineties were great a drew good crowds, I much preferred those than magic weekend. 3 double headers in new locations would be my favourite. And with 14 teams 2 French clubs could play an extra game in Paris, Lyon, Mille etc

| Hearing that negotiations on Kallum returning are not straightforward, Salford want a bigger fee than Leeds willing to offer and Kallum wanting more than Leeds willing to offer, Wakey are also in for him.
Our old fan favourite, Nene is likely heading to Saints.

| Personally, don’t like the idea of an 8 team league, it gets so boring playing teams so regularly as it is
