£2.60 to see a film - went to Vue to see the new Bond film a couple of weeks ago and it was £9.85.
...then again £2.60 to see Karate Kid 2 was still a rip-off.

| Cheers!
I actually think I went to see Karate Kid 2 at the Odeon at the time of the photos. The only bit worth seeing is right at the start, as that features Martin 'sweep the leg' Kove as John Kreese, the wonderfully sneery Sensei of the Cobra Kai dojo.
Hard to believe that the little known (and little seen) Jake Speed got the Odeon 2 slot. That was the massive screen wasn't it?

Magnificent band to watch live - absolutely shoite venue for loud music though, as you'd expect from an old tram depot.

I saw quite a few bands there in my youth, just wikied it, demolished in 89 I would have guessed a couple of years before that.

In that photo its in the bottom middle, the large building that looks like a warehouse, it used to be a tram depot and workshops.
Part of the site is now a "wasteground" NCP car park and a multi storey car park, its behind the office block opposite the Leeds Hilton/Draganora (for those of a vintage).
In your fath-ers day young Loz it was the music venue of choice in Leeds other than the Town Hall, a large open empty warehouse with no other facilities other than lots of people could get in, the acoustics were terrible with all the steelwork everywhere, if you've ever been inside a large factory and heard what it sounds like when they play a radio through a tannoy system then you'll get the idea.
It was also the flavour of The Faces gigs that at some point the footballs would come out and everyone would have a kickabout - bloody deadly in an old warehouse with footballs ricochet-ing off girders and columns but very enjoyable in your flares and platform boots, I'd probably be shouting "You'll have someones eye out in a minute" now though.
