In your case it's the habit of intimidating ref's to get them on your side and the novelty of being brought to book for trying it once too often! One thing I love about RL, being a convert from the round-ball game, is the authority of, and respect for, the ref from the players. Over the last few years this is sliding, and the worst culprits are Sinfield, who at least has the excuse of being captain, McGuire and various other members of the Leeds squad.
