He's not a bad player but hardly the 'big name' that has been hinted towards the past couple of seasons.

| Think I also read today that Salford had rejected a bid from Leeds for Moon and confirmed he would be with Salford for next season!

| I think that one season out of Carmont while he works with & develops Keinhorst is a good deal.
From what I saw of Carmont last season he still has plenty to offer at the SL level.
It all depends on him & how much money he would expect.
Lulia coming would block Keinhorst's chances so it would be better for him if Carmont were to come & would allow him to finish his uni studies as well.

I agree with you. Carmont was still one of the best centres in SL this year and he can assist in coaching the young backs. He certainly could play for next season and even maybe for a second season in 2014 if required. Look how Buderus is still going strong! Is Carmont still speculation or has anything been confirmed?

| The only info I've seen on carmont was in that article that we had sounded him out don't know anything other than that but if we're talking bout players around that age who are proven in superleague with a proven partnership with Ryan hall then we may aswell have brought senior back in IMO neither are an option I would look at

| Wouldn't be at all surprised if Leeds made a play for Blake Ayshford from Wests Tigers. They seem keen to offload him because if their salary cap predicament, and he's of a similar, or slightly better standard to Lulia/Moon.
Had a pretty inconsistent season last year, but was moved around the back line a fair bit - the year before, he was tipped as a bolter for a Kangaroos spot.
It would be one of those signings that could turn out to be an awesome signing, or a terrible one. In my opinion, he'd be worth a shot.

I thought the latest news on Ayshford was that he's staying at Wests? I agree upto this year he was a standout player ready for Origin games at least.
Time is running out for 2013 and I think Carmont for one year is possibly the best option. Then let GH concentrate on signings for 2014.

Each year GH goes on a scouting trip to Aus with a view to making signings for the next season only to then add a sound bite about the fact its not bound to be a player for the next year but that he's also looking for the year after that.....and so it goes on. With all his recent trips you'd have thought he'd have come up with more than Cross and Achurch these last 2 years

I agree with you. I just hope he's learnt his lesson this year that you can't leave any quality signings to the 11th hour.

Can't see GH spending anything again while we're current SL and World champions.
I honest believe that he thinks that our titles will be enough to make his 10K season ticket target without having to pull a big name signing out of the bag.
Anyway aren't we still waiting for Danny Buderus' replacement? I remember GH saying that he wouldn't let him go until we had an equal or better replacement.
Still waiting Gary!!!

They're not quite the same are they?
Senior hasn't played in over a year, Carmont played 22 times last season and scored 17 tries and 11 assists.
I'm not saying he's the gold standard solution at centre, but he's a far more realistic option than Senior. Time to move on.

| By the time the new season kicks off it'll been 21 months since Senior last played in SL, that's a very long time, especially at his age.
