We could, But you dont have the money to spare.
It will take a ridiculous offer to prize Chase away from Cas

It would simply take the whisper in his ear that Leeds may be interested to get Rangi straight onto his agent! and you'd have yet another player asking to be released from his contract.
As for money, I suspect Leeds pockets are significantly deeper than our country cousins, and GH will offer what he thinks as appropriate..

and what do you base your 'average' claim on?
He is a young scrum half, who kicks goals, but didnt manage to kick on at canberra due to injuries. He has a point to prove, and may end up being another Dobson.. but with that he not, but if you havent seen him play, dont know how you can say he is average.

He can't say he is good either if he has not seen him play, just like you.
Only opinion people over he can form is to read what the canberra fans say, and surprise surprise they refer to him as average and no loss.

| Can't say I've heard of him let alone seen him play.
However owts better than nowt as we only had young Southernwood as a bona fide halfback at the club. He's sure to get more games in 2011 but we need more than a virtually untried 18 year old.

well he is a 27 year old scrum half(not young) he is surplus to requirement at canberra. i have seen him play once or twice and didnt really notice him.
imo thats average. look at delaney he was an average nrl centre and i think he did well.

I too have heard Chase is Leeds's main target, and if you look at Leeds's latest accounts they clearly do have money for him. With Westerman gone, it's less clear if Cas need to sell.

Also, Chase wouldn't fit into our squad unless we got rid of Burrow. Now seen as Burrow clearly isn't going to Bradford (as they've signed a 23 y/o Scrum Half yesterday), where would he go? Really can't see him going to Cas. Home town or not, he still wants to win things.
Burrow is going nowhere, it's just silly season talk.

How do you know Burrow still wants to win things ? A comfortable living with less pressure might hold more appeal in his older years....i know it does me.
And why would Chase only " fit in " if we dispensed with Burrow's services ? Some might say Burrow is in fact a better impact hooker off the bench than he is a scrum half .... Inc me.
Improving the squad if possible is always surely better.. ....esp if we know the club is going to be devoid of its major talents early season due to knee ligament damage. Cross is one answer; Chase is a possible other.
