| O’Connor looks a better Hooker than Leeming to me. But where does this leave Corey now?

No he doesn’t. O’Connor looks to have found his position though, looks a good prospect there

| Really pleased for club tonight massive win which I don't think many if any expected. Newman looks class everytime he plays was brilliant in attack and defence tonight just need to keep him grounded. Hardaker, Handley, Smith, Myler, Bentley & Martin really showed up well and lead from the front. Aydin had a solid Debut and I'd be happy if the club took him on loan til end if season see if he can earn himself a deal for next year. I think Rohan could finally be the magic man we need to get our team firing again. MOT ALAW

| That team under Agar would have lost by a similar scoreline to the win. It would have been a combination of one man rugby and headless chicken stuff. I was very dubious about Smith when he was announced, but he really does look like the real deal. He also looked more than a bit pleased in the immediate post-match interview, so good on him.
On Johnson, he's about where you'd expect someone to be who has played just 6 games, including a couple out of position. I was wrong about Smith but glad to see Smith saw the same in O'Connor I did - he's a natural rugby player. His size would have continued to hold him back as a backrower, but he looks like he could be a really good hooker given time. Its up to Johnson to grab opportunities - which is the way it should be.

| Should add that we won despite getting rolled up the middle again. With the forwards we have that style of defence is understandable, but it most likely won't work against Sts or in all games. We need to be able to hold our ground.

It's weird isn't it?.... It felt everytime we went nowhere in most yardage sets but still had that scoreline.... Going to have to watch it again (sober) to really get a feel for how we did it!

In his presser Smith said Johnson was due to play 9 off the bench but was ill so wasn’t pushed, so I wouldn’t worry too much.

That’s alright then. Dwyer was pretty dynamic

I can only assume that they came up with the bizarre decision to award a try because Farrell was offside and Marshall wasn't square at marker although he wasn't offside. No marker to be materially disadvantaged?
Strange decision they need to clarify as it would be chaos as a precedent in future weeks.

| You don't really have square markers defending your own line.

It won't work against Saints, but before the game we didn't think it would work against Wigan. Especially with Field and French on the back of metres. But commitment to the tactics and working their socks off came off. Like Smith always says (or alludes to) in his press conferences - just take each game as it comes. Wasn't a surprise to see us give up yards with the lack of size in our forwards, but Smith managed it perfectly

Farrell and Marshall were not standing square at marker.
Should have been 2 red cards and a penalty try.
Maybe 2 penalty tries.

| Good for him. Dwyer could be very effective in the right team and he's won us a few games.
