I agree about Segeyaro. He was a massive part of our late regular season mini run, which included wins against two of the top three. It secured an easy draw in the playoffs, helping us to stay up..

favourite godden moment was the try at wigan , another great left centre dean bell tainted by going to wigan

Without doubt his best moment in a Leeds shirt but he only played about half of that semi. He also had a terrible game in the final, the entire team did to be fair.
Like others have said as a hooker hes an all time great, up there with Cam Smith and Elias. A truly great player but Leeds never really saw the best of him for me. I think breaking his leg at Wigan in his 1st season when he was beginning to find his feet at the club really set him back. He was good, a brilliant pro and a top bloke, but we didnt get his best form.
Having said that, my god, i wish he was at 9 for us now.

Robbie Mears was another good number 9 for us, but I’d go as far to say Danny Buderus was the best hooker to play in Super League never mind just at Leeds.

Cunningham and Roby was better at Saints than Buderus was for Leeds surely?

Course they were. Buderus had immense career in Oz, and was a legend of the game. We only saw glimpses of that at Leeds, but he was really good in the playoffs in 2011 before he left so some fans have convinced themselves he was a god for us.......

| Great player no doubt about it and we no doubt did not see him at his peak but more than that he was a genuinely nice unassuming guy. Met him in a bike shop of all places buying a bike for one of his kids. No edge no ego just a lovely guy!
Looking at the video links there area few players in those teams that we could do with now.

IMO Buderus was a better player than Cunningham or Roby, but all 3 were great players and would be in the top 5 hookers to play in Super League.

Buderus was the best hooker to play in super league, better than Ruby and Cunningham.
But I mean that based on his quality over his career, not necessarily in Super League.
I agree, we probably didn’t see his best years, but I saw enough to know he’s the best hooker that’s played in SL.
Similar to looking back at Sterling, Kenny, Grothe and Meninga.
We didn’t see much of them over here.
But we know that they were the best.

I think more the point is some fans notice things others do not , hece the reason some realise how good he was and others do not

Which do you think was his best game for Leeds?

| Anyway this King looks a reasonable prospect...
I’m thinking this signing might be a good shout; Mik, Zane, Tommy and King not a bad combination.
Tell you one thing, there is some competition for places in various positions now. Our bench selection will be intriguing.
