Not sure about that now. We have beaten Wire and Wigan more recently in big games....
Not one player left from those halcyon days now.....

| Why? Warrington (and especially Widdop and Austin) seldom produce when it matters.

Very true, just thought FC are very hit and miss, Widdop has to be up there with Burgess as biggest flops this year

| Widdop is a spent force unfortunately. A shadow of his former self. I think Hull when they’re on form can be a match for anyone they just don’t show it anywhere near enough

| Widdop isn't the problem, it's Austin.
Wire board in absolute meltdown. Calling for Price's head!
Complete over reaction.....

| The Warrington 17 for me is very impressive "on paper" but they just don't gel. With Widdop, Austin and Ratchford they have 3 off the cuff players but none of them seem to take control of the game or organise properly. I'd put Jake Connor into the same category as them but he has the perfect half back partner in Sneyd. I'm not sure who is out there but I think they need to sacrifice one of those players and bring in an organiser along the lines of Sezer, Gale, Sneyd.
Saying that they should still be performing better than they are. I think it's time for a change at the top.

| Price has a brilliant challenge cup win last year, against a Saint's tean in top form.
They were going great guns this season untill season deteriorated into a non event. What exactly do fans want?

| Waiting for the moans from over the big hill when a top 4 playoff series is ultimately contested by teams finishing in 5 and 6.

I disagree. They were 3 wins 3 losses before the covid break including a humiliation against Leeds. They were mediocre then and were mediocre after the break.
I don't think they should get rid of Price just yet but if he fails to balance the team then I don't think he'll last too far into the new season.
If any of the rumours are true though there will be a bit of player movement at Warrington which I think could be a blessing for them

They have been average all year , which for the most expensive team assembled in Super League is an underachievement .
