Quote: Marty Grrrrrrrrrr! "How many professional clubs are not fulfilling their fixtures? Why are people only commenting on 1 club?'"

Hsng whole League programmes have been cancelled mate there,'s s huge diffrence.
TWP have waited until 2wks befoe the restart to drop out after weeks of planning ,negotiating begore finally agreeing to a way forward.
Not only that they continually dont pay wages or outstanding invoices.
The Club is a joke & Argyle is deluded ala Kockrash thats not SL's fault nor the RFL's stick a fork in them they're done.

And as i have said previously what Toronto have done is wrong bur the reason the Championship and League 1 isnt goinf ahead is because clubs are saying they cant afford to play with no fans in the ground. You know the same as Toronto?

Theres 26 professional clubs not going ahead which is sad for the sport in my opinion.

You seem happy Toronto are going which i can see no positives in at all. Losing any club is bad for the game particularly one which offered something different and at least had a smidging of potential.

People say its too far away yet the Super 14 has teams more than the distance and thats not a problem to them. If Union can do it why cant we?

When the inevitable happens and other clubs go to the wall will you be just as pleased? I suspect not.

If Toronto are made an equal partner they will be back in SL 2021. It’s for the other Super League clubs to decide now. Do we want to be a little known small town northern league, or do we have some ambition to be as big as the NRL and RU.

And a joke of a club like Toronto will achieve that? Not saying no expansion only that a poorly managed club on a different continent with all the acknowledged difficulties is not the way to do it.

.
Hang on Marty not once have i said im happy about this farce not even close.
Im angry because the Sport i love is once again getting the Headlines for been tin pot.
Once again its been taken in by a Clueless attention seeking tosspot who thought all you need to run a successful RL Club was a few quid empty promises past it signjngs & PR Bulls#*#.
Hardworking families are not getting paid local business' are still owed money its another "Look at me i can expand RL despite knowing F'all about it".
Its going to cost Clubs in tv rights etc at a time when they've already taken a huge hit.
So no i arent happy at all & ill also add TWP shouldnt be allowed anywgere nesr any of our Comps the owner is a d#*$ head.
Not interested in the "oh but they agreed to this that & other woe is them it was what they agreed they knew what it was going to take & now their bravado & bluff has caught up with them.
Expansion has a place if & when its done properly & doesnt put the Comp at risk or damage its integrity Catalans prove that.

It may be, but the decision was made in the correct way. In addition they are mostly part time and the players have other jobs to consider and their owners local business men with limited resources. Toronto are one full time club backed by a multimillionaire. A club in difficulty because of poor management going off half cocked making a unilateral decision just days before their first match. They must have been aware of the situation whilst they continued to give assurances about the revised fixture. Their problems were surfacing even before the lockdown.

If you cannot see the difference in the two situations.......

No it was a democratic decision led by the RFL.

Do you really believe that if only two or three clubs didn't want to play that the leagues would have been cancelled? Sure there is a few that would liked to have played, but the MAJORITY, let me repeat that, the MAJORITY decided they couldn't, and therefore it was agreed not to go ahead.

In what cuckoo universe is that similar to Toronto making their own decisoin at the expense of the rest of the league clubs, and after giving assurances only 48 hours earlier?

What you have said there is 100% spot on Gotcha. The MAJORITY (in capitals) let me repeat the MAJORITY of clubs, who lets be honest are eligible for the government grant and also central funding, are deciding to not fulfill their fixtures. Yet nothing is been said about these clubs. That is my point.

While everyone is getting giddy about Toronto's demise why arent people questioning the lower league clubs taking the same decision.

As ive said repeatedly now, what Toronto have done is plainly wrong but other clubs are doing exactly the bloody same albeit without the headlines and bloodthirst as Toronto. I agree with everyone that Toronto should be punished accordingly but only in line with the other clubs doing exactly the same as them.

I believe really we are in total agreement.

I cannot seriously believe you can't see the difference.

For a start did the lower league clubs give the RFL assurances that they would be competing in the rescheduled fixtures, letting the fixture list be agreed and published then a week later pull out?

That alone makes it a totally different scenario.

That makes it even worse. They clearly had absolutely no intention of ever fulfilling their fixtures. Certainly doesnt make it right Chris.

It really doesn't make it worse.

I think you're being deliberately obtuse for some reason on this, probably because you had to backtrack from your earlier comments on Wolfpack?
