| Quote: RHINO-MARK "Moaning gits or voicing genuine concerns backed up by results & performances?
Now i agree the squad has improved from last year but its still way short of the power & quality we need to be genuine contenders agsin imho.
There other ways of making what we have stronger i.e Top Quality Coaching set up & the promising youngsters given genuine opportunities whithout signing has beens & journey men.
Again though the "evidence" proves otherwise , fwiw i dont demand or expect to win every game & win trophies every year but we had great success doing things right.
Those standards have fallen way below that & at Leeds it should be unacceptable.
You seem to mistake concern & genuine frustration as "just moaning" it isnt.'"
And you and a few others seem to mistake me not writing the whole season off after one game as sticking my head in the sand, you can’t have it both ways.
FWIW people on here have been just as miserable and constantly had a go at the club when weve been winning trophies.

| Spot on Eagle/Lionarmour.
Success being cyclical doesn't excuse the mis-management & level of decline in standards of Players/Teams & Coaching ALL of those are controllable.
We've d!cked around too long with average squad players poor signings & hiring staff who haveny "earned teir position or aren't good enough".
The "he's cheap & will do a job" acceptence is just wrong imo especially where the aforementioned youngsters could do a job & versatility with the existing players could be utilised.
Age is a number if they're good enough or at least have the potential are Coached well then they deserve gametime imo.
Yes not every squad member can be a seasoned international or quality solid pro but thats why we have an Acadamy.

I havent once said you've got your head in the sand & again im repeatinh myself this isnt just 1 game its the same old rudderless dross going into its 3rd year, the same mistakes the same bizzarre selections the same poor signings with glaring gaps in the squad desperate for quality.
Lets not forget Agars quotes about Merrin or Sinfield declaring lessons have been learned & we wont be signing players not worthy of the shirt.
As for being miserable after winnjng trophies you're way off & taking things out of context & confusing post game comments for Whole season opinions.

I just can’t remember anything resembling a positive or even non negative post from you, maybe I’m getting you confused.
Going over and over and over the same points is making the forum hard work. And it is about one game because you are not giving any time to see if the new signings are going to make a difference, you are declaring it ‘same old rudderless dross’ after one game.

| We’re one game in, winning today would be helpful but losing isn’t the end of the world. It’s going to take us a few years to clear away the crap that has built up over the last few years, and we will make mistakes in every department along the way.
It’s rugby, not life or death.

I’m not sure whatever the result, will tell us much about how both teams will fair this season, unless we’re planning on playing in monsoon conditions every week!

Full back will be easiest position of all today.
A high kick will either blow backwards or blow into the car parks. Be a bloody good kick to get within 20m of any full back.
If game goes ahead it will be hilarous.

More worried about the rest of the backs, who simply have no heart at all, and poop themselves with kicks on a none wind day.

They will be OK im sure. They arent allowed to be criticised anyway. Blame it on the 19 year old full back.

| here’s hoping for a Rhino win if the match goes ahead, the question I want to ask is have we really improved as a team over the last two seasons. Some on here myself included have criticised the team after the game against Hull, others rightly so have pointed out that we have only played one game. Looking at the bigger picture this is the start of the third season where candidly we have been poor in terms of team performance. What it says is as a team there is little improvement even though we all say that in terms of players the squad is better. For the first game against Hull we should have been out of the blocks much better than we was, Agar has had a full pre-season getting them ready, yet it showed we was not ready.
My opinion for what it is worth Agar was never the right man for the job and neither was Furner. Make your own mind up who’s fault it is, but the sooner we get a top quality coach into Headingley then the better for everyone concerned. If we are all talking about the squad being better on paper then the finger needs to be pointed at Agar

I have every confidence that had Handley not bombed that clear try at start of game, then the rest would have turned out differently. Thus the views of some might also have been different.
However, that for me doesn’t change the position, that we are in a hole and trying to use our hands to cling to things to get out, rather than just simply putting a pair of ladders or a rope down it. We are not using the right tools and getting where we should be.
