I was hoping to see us linked to quality halves or big off loading back rowers this summer, not ex utility backs who were deemed surplus to requirements a few years back.
I agree, he is doing pretty well at Wakey but i don't see the need for bringing in another winger unless we are to be losing Briscoe or Hall and he isn't good enough to take the FB role imo.

According to 5th Tackle Elliott Minchella is out of contract with us...is he only on loan to Sheffield Eagles ? Also says Lee Mossop out of contract with Salford but he just signed an extension. Apparently we one of a number of clubs linked with Cronulla's Paul Gallen...but he only talking about wanting one season in SL...Wakey front runners but maybe deal with Segeyaro might push us ahead.
On BJB, he left us to be an FB.. got lot of criticism on other forums for lack of consistency wrongly in my view..but he answered them by scoring on his return from injury. I liked him, as you say has had a great spell for Wakey. Also look at Greg Eden ,second spell for Cas...leading try scorer ..so for me would welcome him back...though not the position we most desperate for.

| If Moon is going to stay in the halves next year then we could do with a backup centre/wing or centre/2nd rower. Not convinced BJB is good enough to play centre though and the latter option of centre/2nd row seems better.

thought Mincehello was long gone, cants ee us bringing him back, he's pretty crap for a start, gallen would have had tow three years ago but not now just wants a final big pay packet. and we have enough props, its halves and as others say free running off loading backrowrer

| If we're in the spending big bucks mode, half is priority.

Hiya ,yeah that was my point ,I tend to take sites with a pinch of salt who don't bother to research which players are still in a squad or who has been offered a new contract..doesn't make them credible when they say another player is linked to a club.
Agree with you on Gallen also not keen on players coming over to top up pension..or temporary stop gaps...that said could be argued his experience n leadership especially is something we could do with in pack ...the void left by JP n Kylie has still not fully been filled. Sure JP also use to do far more minutes before he was benched. On halves the target we were suppose to be linked to Widdop has renewed his contract...who else is available at moment ..would GH be willing to prize a player away from another team ? On backrower, for me would hope that player is home grown...also think once he had enough games back to recover from injury ...we already have him....I personally still rate him...Cameron Smith . Sure though when Mac played him it was out of position but might be wrong.

| BJB? No ta.
Paul Gallen? Heck no.
Money needs to be spent in the halfs, though who is available / actually WANTS to come here is a mystery.

| Moon and Widdop in the halves would do it for me. An organiser and an elusive runner would possibly be a good combination. Hall, Briscoe, Watkins and Keinhorst with Golding at full back and BJB for cover doesn't sound too bad although I think very little chance of Widdop coming over unless we break the bank as he's looked really good in the NRL this year. Our only hope is that there is an overload of halves in Oz so no one wants to pay for him.

| Take a punt on McMeekan!?
I'd like us to test the water with Mcgillvary. He has been Englands top performer for the last 4 tests and I want to see how he goes at a top club.

| Definitely go for McMeeken but I'm not sure if all those listed are accurate (Still has Travis Burns listed for Saints and us with Minchella). Quick google search has McMeeken contracted until the end of 2018.
