Personally think it might be Delaney that is deregistered due to injuries.

Delaney would probably be the wise choice, take the delicious. To rush him out of his and Macs hands and maybe get him somewhat back to his best next year.

I think this is good for all parties, we get a class player, and who knows maybe some time away does Zak some good and he comes back to Leeds a new player next year.

So we swap Zak with a guy who could end up leaving again in a few months leaving us with no hooker? Hetherington must be losing his mind.

When GH and Caddick took over we had a crap team and no money!People soon forget the amount of success we have enjoyed since then.
Hetherington is no fool,yes he makes mistakes but not many have some faith in him!

Just looked on YouTube for footage of Segeyaro in action...first two pages were all negative stories (apart from the one where he helped some kids). Fingers crossed that 1) he's any good and 2) that he keeps his nose clean in all respects.

For what little it's worth, I also have faith in the Caddick/Heatherington axis. Never forget that, like all the others, our club wouldn't exist if it wasn't a successful business. Obviously that depends on the side's performance, but the team is constructed within business constraints. Running the team is another matter and, thankfully, what plays in the dressing room usually stays there.

No Hardaker is still our player and Segyaro is still Penrith's
At the end of the season we will then try sell Hardaker permanently, probably to penrith
Whilst Segyaro is out of contract at the panthers anyway so will be free to sign for whoever he wants

What could happen (and is likely) is that at the end of the year we do a permanent swap deal with Penrith of Hardaker for Soward, as they reportedly want rid of him and plan to move morgan to 6 freeing up the fullback spot

Would love to see Segyaro stay but I think we should be lining up a replacement for 2017, likely someone solid but unspectacular, Lunt for example

Interesting to see how it pans out though. What if Hardaker struggles over there and Penrith or any other NRL team possibly interested in him now cool off the idea of signing him especially for such a big price?

If Segeyaro goes back to Aus do with have another option lined up? By the time he decides if he wants to stay who'll be available at hooker?

McDermott said that Delaney would be available for the Widnes game so not sure it'll be him deregistered. If Ablett is also back for that game and Ward on the brink then can't see Achurch getting a game so could be him or Falloon, although if Segeyaro was to get injured then we'd be in a mess again with no proper backup hooker.

I dont imagine Hardaker will play much this year, but if he fits in well at Penrith he will likely be put in their plans for next year

I wouldn't worry too much about who will be available (although it would be easier to have a backup lined up), remember that Sydney Roosters built their GF winning team in one offseason,mainly after Christmas (finishing 9th the year before)

Segeyaro is a good player hopefully can be good for us for rest of season and maybe boost us for the push for eighth and maybe want to stay and get us back to the top next season.

What is the point of this? I can see what Zak gets out of it but at first glance there is limited upside for us.

I'm rapidly losing faith in the management of the club at all levels.

Hope I'm proved wrong.
