Subjective choice - it does in no way mean he IS the best coach in SL. It might have been somewhat contentious & small-minded should the "committee" have chosen a coach other than the one that was coach of the team that won the only 3 trophies available (other than WCC).

As someone alluded to earlier, the team sheets that he has put out this year should have been more than capable of getting results (at least competing to do so!) in more than half the games we have lost. Isn't it the job of the coach to prepare his charges in the best possible way to compete effectively (structures, motivation, tactics etc) - there is almost zero evidence of this being done effectively. Remember, I'm not talking here about knock-ons & "stupid" penalties (one of your favourite excuses for BMD), I'm talking about the team looking like they have been prepared properly for the opposition of the day.

Man Utd finish 5th in the league....win the FA Cup....and 2 days later, sack the manager for not getting acceptable results.

Some people are just not satisfied.....you're forgetting our esteemed coach is a treble winning coach from just last year. This season's freefall results should be ignored and we should all be grateful for past exploits. It's a disgrace, we are spoilt and as true supporters would should continue to get behind the coaching staff, management and players. I would contribute more but my constraints need readjusting a little....

Not at all, whilst i can understand Wakefield fans revelling in what classes as success for them, if we are in the position Wakefield are in next year, the knee-jerkers and trolls (if they are still about) will be demanding 'whoever' out.

No regret at all from a kr perspective we was flying with confidence in the first few months of chesters reign admittedly we hadn't won games like wakey have but Chris bought a happy place for the players to want to play at then came a few injuries to key players and the cracks started to appear as it will at Wakefield, then came the pathetic preseason Chris had lost the dressing room at this point and the fans started to question him then after another few loses the guy was gone if he was a horse he would of been put down he had no answer for how poor we was playing and Chris left and is doing well at Wakefield but it won't last he has no plan B the state hull kr are in now is down to Chris and we are playing better and competing more in games now under webbo but there is no way he could wave a magic wand over the mess Chester left us in and peacock realized we was in a mess and he is the guy to sort it and no way did Chris Chester fit into what peacock wants to build.
