I would like to see safe standing in the south.

"Can't believe this will be the last season with the South Stand, and probably the last season with the unique Headingley atmosphere"

And you didn't pull me up on it, you found it objectionable but didn't have the vocabulary to object in a coherent way. That's why we got the cringeworthy and inane sarcasm instead of anything relevant to what I said. And then you answered a question I didn't ask And now you're so insecure you'll just keep going on and on and on. Yes I'm aware of how internet forums work, and how people like you like to use them as a proxy for real life.

Now do we have to go through all the "jokes" and sarcasm again, or can you accept that someone on the internet is concerned that the new development might impact upon the atmosphere at Headingley? There's no place at Headingley for people who would rather see Leeds fold than have a mixture of standing and seating down one side. These people, and I'm sure they exist, should be banned

Seriously though, my opinion this morning on Facebook was:

"I'll be sad to see the old girl go, but if that's the only way they can crunch the numbers, so be it. Let's just hope that the last game in front of the SS is a GF Semi win over Wigan"

I haven't changed my opinion, but I also enjoy beating Wigan in the final so that bit isn't so important

Well unlike a lot of other planning applications this lot impacts on three sets of existing residents and three different council wards, so I'd be surprised if someone doesn't put a spanner in the works at some point.

You're then reliant on the economy remaining buoyant enough to support the house building projects on the other two sites, interest rates staying low to encourage buyers etc.

Getting the work underway by this time next year might not be plain sailing, we've seen the delays involved in the new Cas ground as a result of not being able to sell land to raise the finance.
