The reasons given for his struggles in the NRL.....the defences are better and they're other good players in the team which mean it can't all be the Sam Tomkins show in attack like it was at Wigan.....those things transport to the International game too. His strengths therefore are much tougher to replicate International level whereas Hardaker's strengths will be vital.'"
i believe he can. There's no doubt he oozes class, he just needs some confidence now. So this series may have come too soon anyway. Plus I've been calling him a 6 for years, I only thought he'd be a short term 1 at Wigan really.
Hardaker is always England number 1 for me. If they can structure the team to not be about the Tomkins show but give him a more quality over quantity approach it may help.

| Watkins has been named at Left Centre this week instead of his normal right hand side. Will be interesting to see if he does actually play on side and how he and Hall combine as I can't ever really recall them playing on the same side of the pitch before.

| On the subject of next England coach i would be tempted to go for a 'super team' that would consist of McDermott, Wane, Powell and Anderson

Played on the right. Bateman on the left, with apparently nobody outside him on the wing judging by how little ball actually got through his hands.
He's game, strong in contact and runs some good lines, but one thing Bateman isn't is a centre at international level.

| Hall will be lucky to see a pass all series just as he hasn't seen many in the past fortnight. Burgess won't fare much better either - it's a symptom of the modern game.

England couldn't break out of the forward slugfest they settled on from the kick off. To be fair it's pretty much what we've seen from our international side for the majority of the last 30 years - give or take the odd exception.

| Loads of Centres to choose from, and what does McBanana do? Picks a Second Rower. Did he learn how to be a Coach from Noble or something?

| Watkins hall and hardaker were excellent.
Williams, bateman, o'loughlin, j. burgess and farrell were very bad.

I said during the match "The problem here is too many Grand Final losers and not enough Grand Final winners".

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

So, using your logic, is the worlds best winger a Leeds player?

Hall is one of the best wingers in the world.
Not many have his combination of Pace, power, finishing ability, handling and work rate. His try scoring record at international level is phenominal.
It must be benefitting spider legs burgess training and playing with him.

| Why are we making this a Leeds V Wigan thing? Its England V NZ, slagging down our own team on the basis of which club they play for rather than how they perform is unfathomably dumb.
