| Quote: DHM "No matter what happens in what's left of Lee Smith's career or how his life goes after he hangs up his boots he will always have that magical 80 minutes to look back on. He did everything right, and then some. The emotion in him after the match when he probably realised he'd made a huge mistake going to union was also there. He shouldn't care, we all make mistakes but not many put in a performance like he did that night.'"
That wasn't his last match in RL before his move was it?
But you're right....a marvelous memory epitomisd by Smith's MOM and that 40/20. Wasn't that also the game where Hall debuted on the right wing and scored that clever little kick ahead to score?

Hall had played about 20 games by that point in his Leeds career.
Lee Smith's final game was the 2009 final. One in which I thought he was just as good in. Never mind his two tries, his work rate especially in defence was brilliant and he shut down so much and provided some great kick chases and even put quite a decent hit on James Graham. Possibly better than his 2008 showing if you look closely at the little things and aspects.

Do you recall everything from memory...or do just have tons of Leeds info nestled away on your computer?

| I'd hate to lose to Wigan .Clarke's biased ramblings are bad enough from a presenter but if they win he will come out with some right tosh.

| Thank you Phil for making the night even more enjoyable for Leeds... The Rugby Gods must have been with us, in particular Danny McGuire

| Are they still going on about "that forward pass"?
Even if Thaler lets it go we stopped their attack.

| Mr Phillip Clarke, in the words of Kevin Sinfield circa 2011....
"For all those people who wrote this team off, for all those people that criticised this team.....tonight's for you, thank you!"

| Leeds v Cas:
Eddie "well I think it's over now"
Phil Clarke "what, Leeds' season?!"
Leeds v Cas:
Phil Clarke "I don't think Leeds will win another game this season"
Pre-Grand Final chat:
Phil Clarke "I think Wigan are a better team, play too much as a team, and are too fast and powerful for Leeds to handle. Wigan will win this and win comfortably"
2010 Grand Final Eliminator:
Phil Clarke "Perhaps the rugby Gods have punished him for his unsportsmanlike play" (on McGuire's injury)
...
Leeds win at Hudds on the hooter to steal the LLS from the Pies, Leeds beat Saints to reach the GF, Leeds win the GF and Danny McGuire wins the HS Trophy.
Phil Clarke is an utter tool and I bet he's proper gutted tonight. And I'm glad. The rugby Gods have done their work on him there haven't they?
Well done Leeds, a fantastic achievement.

| We are going on about the blatant knock-on to Leeds's second try. Déjà vu after what happened at Leeds when 2 of your tries should have been disallowed for blatant knock-ons - which were referred to the video ref! Be honest, you would have all been very annoyed if such an incident had resulted in a Wigan try. Seems like you have had the benefit of the doubt (not that there was much doubt - it was a definite knock-on) yet again from the VR!
