| McDermott looked furious on the sidelines. Normally he just chews gum inscrutably when we're losing, but today he looked seriously p!ssed off. We'll see if that translates into anything in the weeks to come.

Will do!
Amazing what a difference a week makes isn't it. You'll be dragging up the McDermott Out thread next.

Briscoe needs to get back then we're back at full strength, Handly looks tired and I can't blame him, can't fault him for what he's done, but he cannot have expected to be playing this many games this season. I wouldn't mind, but it's frustrating when we lose to a team that weren't in all honesty that great, wigan just did the nitty gritty better than we did'"
Agree can't blame Handley - can't see Briscoe making that great an impact - once Wigan got a grip our forwards were going nowhere - in the second half we struggle to move 20 metres on our set

Me neither, he was awful before his injury wasn't he.

My god you really are blinkered about the lad aren't you? Did you not see all the bloody good things he did.?
With regards to the Williams try I think everybody apart from Williams himself expected him to pass to Burgess - he should have done.
As for the Burgess try it was a sublime piece of skill from Bowen and the lad Burgess himself for timing his run to perfection. There was some weak defence though and hardly majorly Hardaker's fault for being caught wrong footed by what happened unexpectedly in front of him.

| Burgess is probably the quickest British winger since Offiah, no shame in not getting anywhere near him there. As for the Williams try, Hardaker did everything right there and Williams got away with it after taking the wrong option.
I don't think you can fault any aspect of that performance from Hardaker, he was the best player on the field IMO.

...as i said great piece of combined skill beat him for the Burgess try and let's not forget he did cut down same said quickest winger when clear at Headingley. He's also done the same against those two slouches Bowen and the Catalan's FB whose name i temporarily forget.

On a positive note, Hardaker was the best player on the park IMO, and Aiton were superb I thought.'"
Aiton was your best player by a mile. I hadn't realised that he was so good before. You will come back..

Dominic Manfredi at Wigan appears close in pace to Burgess - interesting foot race between those two.

Hardaker was Leeds' best along with Aiton. For Wigan - always impressed in big games by O'Loughlin's qualities and what a nuisance he is in the tackle.

The Catalan full-back is Morgan Escare.

| I can't believe anyone is trying to fault hardaker for the Williams try, realistically Williams was probably in touch, it's just unfortunate Hardakers body was in a position the camera angle couldn't see it.

The blame should lie with Cuthbertson who let him through with soft defence.

What a ridiculous post. Hardaker had slipped for the Burgess try, as many of the players had all day. And the Williams one, nobody else would have got as close as Hardaker, still don't think that was a try, but accept not clear enough on replay not to give. Hardaker was the best player on the pitch by miles.

| Only on this forum do we get people moaning about Hardaker.
You really are incredible.

I agreed with you before about what a good game Hardaker had he was the Leeds MOM not the best player on the pitch. He is becoming the new Sinfield - nobody can say a bad word against him without all the excuses coming out. There was no evidence to suggest it wasn't a try.
He was out of position when Bowen threw the pass - he was in the wrong half of the field. Williams is not that quick that if Hardaker had been positioned correctly he would not have got to Williams.

Credit should go for the pass - producing a great short pass at speed is a real skill.
