| Meh - don't need sympathy. It keeps my moods volatile and makes sure i get a weekly dose of frustration and disappointment. Similiar to the feelings i had after a few Rhinos games last season. I think we will get along well together.
That said, after two miraculous SL wins in 2011 and 2012, i got my season ticket for the 2013 season (as became eligible for concession rate) and we know what happened then.
I do still expect to be at Wembley sooner as a Rhinos fan than a football fan. I look forward to NUFC playing at the 'new, new Wembley' in the future, when the 'new Wembley' is due for renovation!

Kit's okay. Might get the boy some training kit.'"

I'm not bemoaning the annual kit change - i have been a football fan my whole life, buying pretty much every top since i was 6 or 7. I just find the contrast between the old and new pretty massive. Then again, i am a Newcastle United fan, so their new home kits are historically just a variation on how to present stripes on a shirt.
'" I agree with you entirely. Look at pictures of Sinfield hoisting the trophy after each Grand Final win and he could have been playing for seven different clubs.
It's a little buit sad.

It has oft been said that I look good naked. So I see where you're going with this one.

Not that different really. 2004 & 2011 are pretty similar. As are 2008 & 2012. The only that are off the mark are 2007 which was an away jersey, and 2009 which was a bit different.
Your point remains semi valid though that the club could potentially lack identity, I would agree with you were it not for the fact that we have been the best SL team in the last decade, which probably gets us more recognition that what extras we have on our mostly blue and amber shirt

I'll give you 2008 and 2012 but don't agree on 2004 and 2011.
Still, a nice excuse to put some nice pictures up

| Are ISC doing the 2014 Warrington kit as well?
Presumably it will be the Leeds one, but with the hoops in a different order?

| The one thing I detest about all of those finals and the trophy presentation is the standing behind a banner and jumping up and down bit at the end, oh for the days when a player would accept his trophy or medal and then shake hands with the opposition while smoking a pipe rather than looking like a silly teenage girl who almost can't control her own bladder after seeing this weeks pop star in a supermarket.

| A part of me thinks that Super League and its clubs need to do what they can to establish themselves as brands and the SL as a product. Hopefully the world cup will bring newbies in, but then changing the club colours noticably can't be particularly good.
Hell, i (somehow - no idea exactly how) knew that the Rhinos played in blue and amber before ever stepping foot in Leeds. I knew off the Rhinos and i knew of their colours, nothing else. You could argue the other way i guess and say 'with all these newbies, good time for a refresh' too. I think the top is a bit better than the 2013 one, for the record. However, seeing all manor of different blue / amber / white / mixtures of all these dillutes the brand somewhat rather than strengtens it.
My football team has played in the same colour stripes since i think like 1909 or so. It'd be good if Rhinos ever got to a point where you saw a blue and amber top you KNEW it was most likely a Rhinos top, and not having to check.
I'm getting quite stuck in to this debate! I will be in the queue for a top too when i get chance to get up to the stadium!

Unfortunately, the days of this week teen sensation popstar being seen in a Supermarket (unless doing their Christmas TV advert in a 'fake' one) are also long gone... you do know you can order food over the internet these days don't you? Even some of the low-rent places are doing it, not just Waitrose!
That said, just over a year or so ago now the Irish one out of Simon Cowell's current pension investment plan was in my local Working Mens... FACT!

Actually, just to add... I am a little bit disappointed in you! If I was betting on you posting anything on this thread it would have been about what colour is 'Ocean' supposed to be, given it isn't a colour at all and your artistic alter ego!

That would require me to read what has gone before and a thread about something that I have no intention of ever purchasing is not a valuable use of the time at my disposal.
But while I'm on the subject, another thing that irritates me about rugby and football alike is the need for players to tuck their shirt in and pull their socks up, or rather its not sooooo irritating when seen on a field of play but when you see someone walking around a shopping outlet with a shirt tucked into a pair of shorts and a pair of socks pulled up to their knees obviously held in place by garters then frankly the whole thing becomes too ridiculous for words.
In fact, shopping in your teams shirt should be banned, do you not have any other clothes in your wardrobe ?
Just don't get me f'kin started alright, I'VE GOT LOADS OF THINGS TO MOAN ABOUT.

Back in the day the only employment for this weeks popular music "star" was in opening supermarkets, stand outside with a crowd of old women in hairnets clutching shopping bags (yes, they used to bring their own bags to shop with, amazing), give a little speech and cut a ribbon to loud huzzahs and a panic driven rush to be first to the stack of boxes of PG Tips in the doorway aisle.
In fact, the Youtube clip of Fred Dibnah opening a supermarket in Bolton is a TV classic, clearly embarassed about his "stardom" he cuts the ribbon with the classic line, "Righto, I declare this here shop open, and all that then you know..."
