Did anyone attend a GB vs Rest of the world game at Headingley ? I seem to remember Sam Backo playing just after he signed for Leeds, so that would make it '88 or 89.

I went on a Whitbread promotion - Return coach travel from the local WMC, North Stand seat and a voucher for 2 pints of bitter. Total cost - £5

I was there. Bal Numapo, a man of substantial beardage, played for the Rest Of The World.

He got a mention in short lived ITV sitcom 'Not With A Bang'. Stephen Rea played a Barrow fan, and waxed lyrical about him.
