| Poor by McDermott and I believe McShane will look to move this winter now. McShane is the best hooker at the club but continues to get dropped when players return from injury. I like McShane he is a very clever player, with a full range of skills and gets the players going forwards, just a shame the coach has never showed any confidence in him.
I also hear Hardaker is playing centre this week too.

| Quote: LeedsDave "Hmm - It's the right call in my opinion.
He's been average to dire pretty much all season - again, IMO.
He either passes to first receiver, runs and knocks on or attempts that little scoot over from dummy half on the last tackle which rarely works against the decent teams.
He's had a couple of games where I've thought, "OK, he's pushing on" and some of his kicking has been good. But for a starting number 9 these games are increasingly few and far between and sadly he's rarely backed them up.'"
Sadly he is not the only one JJB and Kirke have both been very average to abysmal at times but neither have been treated like McShane? He was awful on Friday so McDermott has a point - things have to be seen to be equitable or else people will lose respect for the manager's judgement.

A close call between Keinhorst and Foster as both can cover in the forwards and backs. Not seen a lot of the recent games so going on what I've read on here Foster seems to be impressing more.'"
Would agree re: foster in the pack, thats his position vice versa at for Keinhorst, much better than foster there. Odd to drop Keinhorst from the team, when he has been kept in the pack, now with a spot at he goes back to Hunslet.....

failing that i would even move sinny to hooker as i believe this could be his next positional move and one that would also enable the transition of sutcliffe to starting 6 and ward to starting 13'"
Agree with all of that.

He is the best recognised hooker at the club, i won't dispute that. But I don't think you can say the coach hasn't shown confidence in him - he's played most games this season. His form has hardly warranted it either. How you can say it's 'poor by McDermott' is baffling.
I don't think he's good enough to be our number 9 and so if he does move on, I'd hope to see us sign someone for next season.

I appreciate that - but I think it also comes down to how the players behave in the week and their attitude. I'm purely playing devil's advocate here, but if McShane is clashing with McDermott in the week, whilst Kirke and JJB are working hard, then that is obviously going to affect the choice to drop him.

| You'd convince me of moving Sinfield to hooker if you promised me he would defend down the middle where he's more suited defending.
Talking of more suited, you could even try him at Loose Forward......

You make them sound like children.
I don't buy into something we'll never know about.
What we do know is that Mac and Macca have worked together for a few years now. If there was a 'rub' you think there would have already been a parting. Instead we can work on facts and Mac retained the '9' shirt again.
Macca similar to Clarkson get dropped very readily when other players are available to play instead. In some of the droppings they are puzzling as neither have been worst performers in some of these games. Maybe some players are ok to be dropped and maybe some aren't.

True, and that was kind of why I suggested perhaps it has something to do with what their doing in the week.
But I don't know.. i'll stop speculating!

Correct and we may need the spot kicks as Hardaker 'can't kick for toffee'

Agreed - play him from the start or don't at all. He isn't an impact sub.
