| 10-0 down with 65 minutes left against 12 men and then get demolished 48-24!!
Got what we desereved today and if that isn't ANOTHER reminder that we need an over-haul with fresh QUALITY to come in and some of the old guard put out to pasture then i don't know what is.
The game may have no bearing on league placings of who we play in the play-offs but is that seriously acceptable?
I think GH better be well under way with his "threat" of a clear out with fresh arrivals coming in across the board.

Not acceptable at all, and I know it was a meaningless fixture but would still like to go into the play offs with some form.
Sadly with a visit to wembley papering over what has been a poor season vus far I can't see too many changes, and can only see another drop next year. Yes we won a WCC and played very well against a team not at full fitness, but from the Leeds games I have.been to this year we have been poor and not very entertaining. Cannot see us getting to Old Trafford at all this year

Did they exceed the salary cap in order to gain an unfair advantage that they were not entitled to?
Judging by their results on the field Bradford were the 7th best team this season, Huddersfield 8th and Wakefield 9th.
The 5th placed team at home to the 9th placed team in week one of the play-offs is a nonsense and should be a non-contest.

on my post or the leeds posters in general?
if mine, it wasnt direspectful, am not expecting fc to get to old trafford, but id be dissapointed if we didnt win next week, being at home, plus we owe hudds one for the challenge cup game, a lot of crowing and chest beating from hudds fans and players after that game!

| Yet another predictably inept, couldn't-give-a-toss, regular season performance from the rhinos in a fixture that doesn't matter and counts for very little - the rhinos always safe in the knowledge that whatever regular season bilge they serve up (and they do for the vast majority of the 27 rounds), they are still guaranteed a play-off place and a decent shot at the SL title.
There's been mention of showing disrespect to other SL clubs. When the day arrives that a team like Leeds cannot get away with tossing it off throughout the regular season collecting enough easy points along the way against whipping boy SL rabble and ensuring a guaranteed play-off place, that will be the day I shall start showing some respect to all those whipping boy SL rabble clubs.
Next week's game against the Wakey SL rabble actually counts for something and matters, therefore there will be only one result - a Leeds win. The next two weeks are merely an exercise in eliminating all those rabble SL teams (Catalan, Hull, Hudds and Wakey) who are just making up the ridiculous play-off numbers.

It will be nonsense and a non-contest next week. Either Leeds win comfortably, or, if we factor in the likelihood of Leeds playing poorly, they'll still win something like 44-40. Scorelines such as that are also non-contests IMO.

Never said anything was incorrect, just the sheer joy you get from negative things and winding people up and referring to to guys who actually go out there and play the game as ''whipping boys'' is a heavy mixture of pathetic and tragic.

Great please make the same mistake that St.Helens made a couple of weeks ago and underestimate Wakefield, we'll then see what happens.
Get ready for a very difficult match. There's a few ex-Leeds players at Wakefield that want to prove a point that there is real quality in the Wildcats forwards and backs. There will be no better feeling than beating the 'World Champions' in front of their home crowd

Really? That's depressing.
What about the feeling of winning something?

I get no joy whatsoever out of the current dreadfully deficient playing standards in SL and I get even less joy out of the lack of competitiveness. It's tragic to see so many teams just going through the motions for 27 rounds of franchised mediocrity with little to no incentive to improve or produce anything different. The games core values of providing honest endeavour alongside entertaining RL in meaningful fixtures were flushed down the toilet quite some time ago. It's SL itself which has become a heavy mixture of the pathetic and the tragic and your mistake is pointing the gun in the wrong place. I'm just the messenger.
On the topic of honest endeavour, I do believe it was a Hudds fan who earlier this season goaded McGuire on twitter after they'd beaten Leeds at Headingley. McGuire's response was something along the lines of... Who cares? We'll beat you lot when it really counts. Yesterday clearly didn't... obviously. Honest endeavour died quite some time ago along with other key values, particularly at Leeds.

Like a game of RL at the home of the Champions for example?
Honestly, I know you will find this incredibly hard to believe but not all of us are motivated to be associated with success at all costs (We'd have no fans left!). Beating Leeds at Headingley is about as good as it gets for us and I'm fairly sure that our celebrations (if we were to win) would be pretty similar to the jubilation you felt at winning the GF last year.

1157.jpg It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.:1157.jpg |

| To be honest, and I mean no disrespect to Wakey fans, but if they were to win at Headingley and knock us out, then that would equate to them winning the GF itself. There are realistically 4 teams that are capable of winning the competition (Wigan, Warrington, St Helens and Leeds) and then two that have very much an outside chance (Catalans and Hull).
Outside that, it will be a long long time before anyone else wins SL if ever, more's the pity.
