Quote: Saddened! "According to Rogues, Jamie Foster has also criticised Ryan Bailey, calling him an idiot on local radio.

I wonder how McNamara is going to handle it. The last thing England need is the players fighting internally.'"

Oddly enough, it's (some of) the wigan fans who seem most affronted by Bailey's actions, judging by comments on their board.

There's a number of them who've also chosen to interpret Sinfield's tribute to a saints team who play the game the right way as being an underhand dig at their own side. I'm sure a psychoanalyst might be able to offer an insight there.

Mr Wilkin, the words of the Rhinos 1st team coach. You'd do well to heed them, especially the bold bits.

coach McDermott, who received a tremendous reception, to sum up the achievement. "I've got a few emotions and it is hard even now to put them into words," he said. "I'm just so pleased for a club that does things so right, it doesn't cut corners or breach salary caps, they don't whinge but just keep on doing things in the right manner. That's why when you are successful and win things, it feels so special

When, exactly? Perhaps you can find some video footage of this occurring.

He used to have the opposite problem, and was clearly told to get involved in that stuff less. Never seen this running away that people keep referring to.

As for surveying people, that tends to be the way with urban myths doesn't it?

I noticed that there was a bit of a scuffle towards the end which I think Bailey instigated, but it was just standard tackle stuff. If we gave some verbals, or even a facial, I'm sure there's plenty who've done that across the years, just people getting upset as it happend when the result was beyond doubt

Jesus! Player goes a touch overboard after winning trophy shock!!
IIRC Bailey does this after every GF win, he is clearly overjoyed, you can see it on his face!
I can guarantee if it had have been Burrow or Ali doing it no one would have said a thing.
It's a a good job he didn't do something really childish like I don't know, for instance running round all his teammates after the match crying, begging them not to shake hands with those nasty men on the other team!

What's more worrying is before the CC final

bailey retweeted a saints fan saying ''we'll forgive you the maurie shoulder if you smack rat boy''.

Then qel surprise as the hooter goes for halftime in the CC bailey elbows drops on tomkins after he drops on a loose ball and a little scuffle starts up.

Gary Hetherington shows more class than Wilkin with post match comments to the press.

"It was a great advertisement for the players and coaches with two great clubs and two great teams. The only disappointment is that it is St Helens because they don't deserve five consecutive Grand Final defeats. It was a terrific effort for them to get to the final and they played their part in it".

When you see the excuses made by Wilkin and some of the other players, there were camera's in the dressing room, it rained too much, bigger boys were mean to us and you can see why they lost. Winners find a way to win, losers look for excuses as to why they lost.

Winners earn the right to celebrate, if you dont like it, be better!

I've seen Bailey clean out Maurie at Saints, deck Loke O'Donnell, drop big Joe Vagana on his ample arris, and most impressively, absolutely smash Moz at Headingley. I don't understand this idea he 'runs away from the big guys'. Myth.

Were I coaching Bailey.

Ryan mate, a bit of niggle, a bit of mongrel, that's good , I like that. If however it starts to get tasty and fists start going, get out. People like handrags have you down as a cheap shot merchant and when it all comes out in the mix after the skirmish it'll be you who gets blamed and gets yellow. When it starts, make a point of being stood next to the linesman so that it's clear you were not involved.

When the aforementioned skirmish started at OT on saturday, Ryan was striding AWAY from it towards the linesman on the far side of the pitch. AWAY from the trouble.

Classic Bailey, sensible Bailey.

Please please please can somebody shed some light on what Bailey has actually done? or does this get filed with the headbutting of a wigan academy player.

Quote: Saddened! "Makinson was 19 and in his debut season. Bailey has played for 9 years. Bailey wouldn't do it to Sia Soliola or Tony Puletua or James Graham, which I guess is what wound Wilkin up.'"

He did it to Maurie Faasavalu, why wouldn't he do it to any of those guys?

Personally, I thought his celebration was a bit OTT but I suspect there have been plenty of verbals going on during the game which none of us were party to. There's clearly no love lost between him and Saints, so I can forgive him a bit of over-exuberance.
