Nothing left for it but to hope he comes good and live up to his 'huge potential' label although I'm not holding my breath that we have the coach that could do that as he doesn't seem to be able to bring the best out of the group of internationals he took charge of.

It is a crap signing imo, but lets till we see what happens or doesnt happen.If we dont sign anyone of note then the writing will be on the wall, we then prepare ourselves for a very unsuccessful period until the ground redevelopements are paid for,because to me its looking ominous

I'd agree with that - Moore has improved massively over the last few years (even with his health problems, ill child etc etc). Not a stellar signing but then what do we expect at prop. And we've been crying out for a bit more of a sh*thouse pack (especially when JP was out).

The three year deal is a surprise for a 30yr old but I'm sure that Leeds have saved a fair bit of salary cap space by giving him an extra year.

I only hope this doesn't mean Bailey won't be renewed (I'd much rather have him for another year than Kirke or Kylie).

I think that label was when he was 18 and since then he has done nothing at all to live up to it and i seriously doubt at 30 he is going to start now. One of mcdermott's mates you would guess, how else would he get a 3 year contract.....absolute joke signing

Hetherington has and always will control who Leeds sign. I'm sure he consults the coach but the decision is very much Gawy's.

You've also suggested "how else would he get a 3 year contract" - do you really think McDermott negotiates terms

listen mate i have worked at the club previously for a number of years.....I know exactly how Gary dictates money matters, and I also know he does not pick the team, and he has agreed to Moore coming simply because he is cheap end of.....and if you really think Gary has called mcdermott into his office to tell him that he has signed Moore and that mcdermott said ' great Boss' then you are a fool.

Because after next year we will lose Kylie, and maybe Peacock, which would leave us with a forward rotation of Kirke, Bailey, Amor, Singleton and Ambler, which when you think about it is a 2nd rower, a kid nowhere near ready to be a frontline prop, and unproven 21 year old, and Kyle Amor who lets be honest has had a good, but not outstanding 1 year in SL along with Bailey.
Moore is cheap, and will do a job, he is experienced and will give us continuity.

If this is the sum total of our recruitment, then I would be very disappointed. As a signing in isolation, I cant complain, he will make a decent squad member.
