I'm fairly certain we'll see Ablett at centre, burrow on the bench and no McShane.

Never suggested sacking Burrow ... Said many many many many times I like the guy's many many many qualities. Just don't think he is a scrum half....his stature leaves little option.
However, as a potential pretty special game winning try scorer at the moment, he has to start....and he certainly never lets anybody down in defence.

Does that include some sort of sarcasm that I'm missing? Why would Burrow be on the bench? When was the last time he was? Especially with McGuire and Webb having late fitness tests...
I agree on McShane, but he way Ablett has been playing lately my money would be him at loose and Smith at centre. Of course if Webb is not fit then its Smith to FB and Ablett would just have to go centre.

Somebody tell Burrow that he has been playing in the wrong position his whole career. Whilst your at it look to bump into Tony Smith and Brian McDermott tonight and tell them they were/are wrong. Then when Bluey is back in town next week tell him too.
TS is a nice bloke and the type of person to feel sorry for you.
Bluey will probs just smile but have confussed thoughts in his mind.
Then McDermott will simply tell you to fu*k off.

In fairness the lack of enterprise will mean you're right about Ablett....but will be surprised to see Burrow on the bench. Tough on McShane.
Seems along with the (apparent) def omission of Burgess, Clarkson and Pitts the club has a present policy of punishing the guys in form ......

I give up ( nearly ) ..... Again, considering his size where would you play him if not scrum half ? ? Even as an impact hooker he looks out of place in the scrum ...
His qualities cannot be ignored.... But neither can his size when deciding where to place him.

Even if you stop Briers and Westwood, Warrington are not 'easily beaten' by anybody. Whoever wins tonight it will be a tough encounter.

| Quote: RhinoNeil "I don't think we can play any other way. Especially with Senior out, Leeds havn't got the flair to go around Warrington. Up the middle all night tonight. Huge night for the forwards. Buderus will be key out of dummy half. Leeds have also got to move up on Warrington in defence. They are sensational outwide, I expect our three quarters to be moving up pretty quickly in defence to smother any attack.'"
The entire pack have to get their hands dirty that's for sure.
Leeds should move the ball, they just need to execute the right plays with safe hands at the right end of the park. We can't gift them the ball. We may as well blow a hole through our heads.
We have improved since our last meeting with them. I just feel Sinfield has to be the difference maker if we are to win. I'm taking a lot from the Catalans game. We won that battle because we ground the frogs down in the first quarter and the scoreboard blew out in the final quarter. In that first quarter we completed sets, built pressure and rewarded ourself with repeat set after repeat set. Sinfield pulled the strings with these kicks and he marshalled us through our sets. We have to do the same again. Build the platform, you've got a chance. Playing this way though your pack has to get on top, which is no mean feat against Wire. Mozzer and Wood are always a joy to watch with their carting skills.
Roll on 8pm.

For me they are Wires key players, so if we can shut them out, then winning would be easier. But yes it will be a tight game, but i think we will win 25-18

| If Warrington turn up and play like they did against Cas on Sky a few weeks back it will be a long night. I'm not underplaying our strength by any means. Indeed, I think we'll fare better than most, but I fancy Warrington for the big one this year and they're more or less at full strength tonight.
We need to convert our chances. Delaney and Ali need to make metres out wide and all the forwards need to have a big game.

| Should be a cracker tonight. I picked out Warrington at the begining of the season as the team to wipe the smile off Wigooners faces come October, and I wonder what's the odds on Lee Briers picking up the Man of Steel trophy for the second year running?
Unless we have an entirely outstanding team performance from 1 to 17, I think it'll be Wire by a couple of tries this time.

| Big test for Leeds. Chance to finally beat one of the contenders for the title (sorry Cas, you were never a contender) and start a charge.
Leeds by 8 for me.

Louis Anderson and Ben Harrison missing tonight, I'd say thats 'less' than full strength...2 key players who are always in the starting line up.
And before someone says,i know your injuries are far worse than ours.

I really don't know what your getting at... ."he looks out of place in the scrum" What do you actually think happens in a scrum? A rugby league scrum is a prop forwards breather. I didn't realise Burrow was moving to Union.
Its quite plain and simple Burrow is a scrum half that can fill in at hooker, hence why has played there his whole career and consistently been one of the top scrum halves in SL. Granted he doesn't look the player he was a few years back but that doesn't mean he needs to find a new position.
