It's called entertaining, attractive, attacking rugby. Pity we don't seem to understand the meaning of defense!!

Penalty count 12-3? against us. He did JJB for a "flop" first half for finishing a tackle he started, they moved downfield and scored. He then forgot the rule existed as HKR players did it every other tackle. The final insult was Buderus being caught for not being square when he had spent all day being tackled by players who weren't square without penalty. Halibut is as cluless as I've seen from a referee in a life of watching clueless refs. Fred Lindop, Gerry Kershaw, Ronnie Campbell, maybe you weren't that bad after all.
Imagine that penalty count the other way around and how that would have killed any momentum HKR could put together and how it would have gifted Leeds field position. HKR could have crumbled.
Okay, that's the ref, now for Leeds. Shambles, absolute shambles on defence. Yes they missed tackles, as everyone does, but what is absolutely unforgivable is the amount of times they were caught with one marker in the first half. HKR weren't even playing the ball that fast, it was awful organisation and concentration. It killed us. You can't blame the coach for that, it's junior level stuff. There need to be some backsides flogged this week.
Defence in the middle of the pitch was dire, and a big part of that was the marker effort which was rubbish. Webb should ask for the salary of the forwards, because he did their tackling today. And WTF was McShane doing running towards the touchline on our last posession of the 1st half? What was going through his mind that made him think he could (on his own) take on three defenders in a foot of space?
Attack wise, I agree with Harrigan, they came out with the right tactics (good call coach), when they moved the ball wide they caused all sorts of problems, but the loss of Smith and the time he was on the pitch struggling, took Watkins out of the game - which was a shame as he was our most dangerous attacker by a mile. We should have kept throwing it around, at least in a shoot out we showed we may have had the edge.
In honesty that's a team that needs Leuleui and Peacock back solidifying the middle of the park and it needs McGuire making things happen allowing Sinny to concentrate on his defensive position more. Poor display, but again, bashing the coach? I don't know.

| Thought Halibert went ok tbf
The flop was correct as JJB got bounced off the tackle and whoever the 2nd man was completed it. JJB then came back into it after the tackle was completed and the penalty was given.
I think with the "not knowing the rule play" he thought Hall had got a hand to it. I thought he had at first glance. He also tapped his hand when talking to the TJ as if that was his view of it anyway. It was sorted and no harm was done though.
Buderus' penalty for not standing square was also more blatant than any of the others. Most of the time aswell the Hull KR players had tracked back 10 before making contact meaning they were then onside. I can see where the frustration comes from though.
My main gripe these days are the TJ's. Now im not going to moan that they scored 2 tries from blatant forward passes because we do the same to other teams all the time. Why they miss them so much in general though is beyond me. They seem to get pulled up more often in the NRL but im assuming thats down to having a ruck referee.

I would probably have said it was borderline had it not been for the 15 or 20 blatant flops HKR got away with during the rest of the game.

None of them stuck out to me but the JJB one did. Still, some people have different views. I try not to wear a "Leeds hat" when I post on here after games and look at the game in general.

I had no idea what the JJB penalty was for originally. I assumed it was for a forearm in the face, not for completing the tackle - the guy was going down but I didn;t think he looked held when JJB landed on him. I saw at least 6 or 7 absolutely stone cold flops from HKR defenders and many others like JJB's but assumed Halibut had developed amnesia for that particular rule.
I agree anbout the flag wavers, the one on the far side was neither use nor ornament. Missed a huge forward pass and missed the ball being ripped out of Ablett's arm (and I believe HKR scored from that posession).

Probably a good idea taking the leeds cap off. I must admit only the jjb flop sticks in my mind but could be it's because the others were not picked up and we saw re runs in slo mo of jjb

I'm afraid I have to take a big bow to you when it comes to "ad nauseam" posting Keith.
I'm "Stupor League" to your far superior NRL.

Even with that point of view you have to concede Halibut is way out of his depth and the only thing worse today was our defence!!
Oh and i'll agree with you now re-Burrow before you post it shocking today today along with Senior Ablett ,Hauraki and our coach for not subbing smithy when he was blatantly crocked.

I thought that you were allowed to push but not to drag. Would seem Halibut doesn't agree.
