Quote: tvoc "I wonder how Buderus' MOTM record compares to Matt Diskin's since 2009?
'"
As nobody has claimed Diskin to be a legend of the game comparable to Ellery Hanley (guffaw) his influence on his teams should quite rightly pale when compared to the legendary Danny B.

Disco doers have a Harry Sunderland and a Leeds player of the year in a title winning season to his name. I sincerely hope Danny B can go on to emulate Matthew in that regard.

Would be pretty darn funny if that happened this year. Especially if Bradford finish outside of the top 8 again.

It would be wonderful if that happened but what has Bradford's finish got to do with it?

Yes that would be an odd thing to do.

The analogy stating Hanley's qualities were not defined by GB's inability to win an Ashes series still holds true however.

If you believe I went any further than that perhaps you should re-read what I put on page 2.

Another big finish from Danny on Saturday. Finishing the game with a penalty and a knock on because, just like the week before, he was completely gassed.

It may be his coaches fault but he's just not up to 76 mins a game.

I eagerly await a plethora of posters pointing out the errors were someone else's fault or That Danny coolly calculated the penalties and saved us from even greater catastrophe by knocking on or giving penalties away.

I've noted a few threads having a go at other players so I am sure on balance there has been some criticism of Buderus's errors somewhere.

Ahh the memories of buderus trotting around in that 9 jersey through 2011 will last with me for a lifetime.

I didnt think anyone had a great game on saturday other than Watkins in attack and broken running and Bailey. I initially thought that Buderus looked better playing the full game but now not so sure. Didnt have a great game tbh.
But I cant have an agenda aginst him I have too much on my plate with Burrow and Senior icon_wink.gif

Gareth, honestly do you not think we have bigger problems in the side at the moment. I would have thought regardless of agendas or allegiances, that at least Buderus is one of the shining lights of the season even if not meeting some posters expectations. Far better to concentrate on where there are issues.

Or those who highlight his every error yet seem unable to see the errors of their favourites - hypocritical I would say?

You don't think that the late game errors we've seen from Buderus are becoming an issue? Would they be an issue if they'd come from another player?

You don't think our hooker's inability to play for longer sustained periods is an issue? You don't think it will be an issue if McShane has to play longer to remedy this given McShane appears to be pretty decent going forward to a complete liability in defence?

Are these the biggest issues? Probably not, but they're still issues and we shouldn't ignore them because they concern a certain Mr Buderus.

Don't be hard on yourself. With McGuire not playing nobody expects you to pick up on his errors.

I think the team has a host of issues - defensively we are vulnerable all over the line - I would suggest this is a far bigger issue than whether Buderus can play 40/50/60 minutes and whether McShane's tackling technique is suspect?

The sides continued indiscipline - this is now with three different coaches - is very serious problem which suggests it cannot be sorted without a change of personnel

Our inability to go forward up the middle and make ground and dominate other packs is much more of an issue IMO

We have a creative pair that blow hot and cold and we don't seem to have an ability to deliver consistently - Sinfield created two tries then through the ball behind Webb and then threw it over Watkins head!! Our lack of set attacking plays is a serious issue.

Of course much more serious issues are lost in your miopic view of the game - don't let the bigger picture get in the way of your agenda.
