I don't think Leeds played well what so ever but I can agree with McD, Leeds did look incontrol and always looked the team most likely to score up until the 3rd quarter. (that says more about the quality of the two sides on a whole) The only thing is Leeds' attacking structure, or lack of, wasn't upto standard to get over the line.
I will hold my judgement on McDermott until June/July when Leeds have the second and third piece of the Rhino jigsaw back and match fit in McGuire and Peacock.
McDermott won't get the boot until season end...so lets not spend the entire season moaning about him....like it or not it is very unlikely GH will sack him before October.

| Leeds' defence was suspect last year when both Peacock and McGuire were playing (not that its McGuire's strength anyway). I wouldn't suggest that our defence is that much worse TBH - we've added to our woes by dropping a lot of possession in bad possitons through dumb play. That's not to say that last year's defence was worth much.

| remember lads,I know you've been inconsistent so far but Saints deserve credit as many of you have recognised (they wanted to win more IMO) and it's far too early to get on McD s back - it's a big step-up for him so give him time,he will produce the goods when the players settle into his style
not sure about his assistant tho'............great player etc but .........

True, but i suppose he (mac) was always going to be onto a loser really. Taking over a team which has enjoyed lots of recent success and trying to change style of play. If we were say down the table for the last few years like Bradford he probably wouldnt be getting as much stick.
I just find our new style at the moment quite frustrating to watch

Leeds... not so sure.
Should make the 8 if they buck their ideas up a bit

His style? I suspect that the level of dropped ball, missed tackles and clueless attack when in the opponents 20 meter zone would point to "his style' being settled into already.
We had him for nearly 5 full years....only at one stage did the team look like they were getting it together....then something happened and we returned to boring 5 drives and a bad kick footie with no creative flair........he is the worst coach in the league IMO and Leeds should accept they have made a mistake.....start looking for a replacement now and as soon as they find one, get rid of Mac.

After a honeymoon period under your coach has well and truley gone to the wall I think you should hold any judging to your own poor showing. Confidence will be shattered it could be a long old season for Quins.
You could well be right about mac. Time will tell. But to be honest I would love five drives and a kick. That's what I think we need. Earn the right to through the ball around. But conceeding 30 points at home, again is just not good enough. Defence needs massive improvment! I always thought when Quins had it's full team out it looked a hard team to brake down. If Leeds can sort out the defence and get the basics right we won't be far off come October! If we don't sort those issues out we will finish sl in 5th or 6th and limp out of the play off's.

...THAT'S MY POINT!
We were tipped for the bottom 3 and we may well end up there yet, but Leeds have a pretty established team and a good conveyer belt of talent coming through (BJB is welcome back to play for us anytime...better than Tomkins by a country mile IMO).
You are 3 from 3 and have shipped 30 points twice at home already this year...you did that twice all season in 2010 and not once in 2009, 2008, and once in 2007.
I understand that players are out injured and some have maybe passed their prime, but 3 times in 4 seasons.....52 games has suddenly become 2 from 3 games.....alarm bells should be ringing at Headingly.

I would like to see us earn the right to throw the ball about as well on the back of solid work. I could almost accept the 30 points conceded at home if we were totally outplayed without any help from us however, we have gifted alot of these points, which is dissapointing.

1157.jpg It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.:1157.jpg |

| To answer the original question, do I accept we have the worst coach in SL? No I don't, whilst Agar, and McRae (although I accept he's not actually coaching at the moment) are both employed in SL, then we won't have the worst coach.
It seems as if the original question has now changed to "have you had enough of the coach yet?", and to that I'd have to say probably, although he should be given the full season to try to rectify the problems. GH needs to decide in the next two or three months if he is willing to "risk" this coaching team for next season.
