You must admit though this forum can get quite addictive. Time for me to curtail my fix for today methinks.

While ever we rely on volunteers (parents etc) although valued that they are, we will always have some that don't wish to be educated and rather play live out their ego through their junior team playing 1 out rugby focusing on a handfull of players with others discarded. I see it all the time. Though I know there are those who do want to be educated to instil the right development at the right ages.

Wigan st pats have all scholarship/SA experienced coaches hence their quality. At our club we are introducing a mentoring system to develop the coaches.

On another note, I'd like to see us adopt the Aus system of size/weight categories rather than age so that children can develop skill in the right environment and also not get turned off the game when they're clattered by a bigger kid.

They all come back.
