I don’t get how a joke is an opinion?

Imagine if I would of made a joke out of Leon Walker?

Someone in fact got a site wide ban for joking about the Liverpool deaths.

I respect peoples opinion like “he’s a paedophile and deserves to die”. But what I don’t respect is distasteful jokes been made in the name of someone’s death.

We all make mistakes in this world. I will let this live and let live. Its just an opinion I’m putting across here!

I have to say Damo, I also dont get people making jokes about the dead. It is in bad taste, regardless of who has died. ATEOTD if nothing else, Jackson leaves behind a young family.

You respect someone making false and vile accusations about the dead - who can no longer sue to protect their reputation yet you take offence to people who makes jokes.

You know how Andy mentioned a moral Compass, yours is very faulty IMO.

When they make the film of his life, at what point will they switch to a white actor?

I hear that G1's extra work in the gym is paying off and he is hoping to grow an afro to get the gig to play his later years. Danny has applied for the early years part, but could be rejected (despite being the right height) for being "too orange"!

My morals are talk to someone like you don’t mind been talked to. If people do think someone who has died did something wrong then its ok to voice so IMO. But to make a uncomplimentary joke out of it IMO is taking it too far.

Then again there’s a time and a place for everything. But everyone’s time and a place is different. I may sound like a dictator here but I believe threads like this don’t deserve to have such vile jokes.

me too. i have had hundreds of jokes.one poster on here asked me not to send him any which i haven't.

I do hope that someday when someone wants a film a story about your life. They don’t have people making remarks like when at what point will they switch from a kid to a grown up actor.

But when I die I hope that people to make jokes and have a laugh, I would much rather that than people sit around moping about - so as thats how I would want to be talked about does that make it ok for me to laugh and joke when other people die?


Now I have mixed views of the jokes that I have heard so far but the ones I don't like I simply ignore whereas the others I have a little titter at and then move on, I don't see why people are making it into such a big issue tbh.
