Quote: El Diablo "Both will have found it relatively easy to improve from zero. Neither would get in our team, even with key linch-pin Jamie Thackray absent.'"

Oh come on, that is been completely arrogant.

I give you Bibey. But Moore would quite easily get in anyones form team for 2007 above ANY of our props.

I think you took your response too far there.

And despite your optimism, look at the two squads on paper, and Wakeys pack looks much better than ours for tomorrow. Just aswell we have far superior backs.

Their back row isn't much to write home about either. Their centres might give ours a run for their money. I see Sculthorpe is playing - how long before he sees red?

Thank you, Moore is as good as any other prop in SL.

Meh. Maybe so. I haven't seen him play more than a couple of times to be honest, and wasn't impressed then, so it was unfair of me to judge. Is he really better than Peacock though?

Peacock is far more effective at Second Row though, hopefully McClennan clicks on to that from the start. In terms of ability at prop, this season for clubs anyway, Moore has been consistantly better.

As a player generally NO.

But form this season consistently YES. He would have got in any side in super league this year, including Saints.

Can he repeat it next year? up to debate.

Having a glance at the squad lists, unless a lot of Wakey's forwards really have improved massively from last year and the couple of times I've seen them this year, I'd say it'd only be the front row where they'd have the edge. But again, I am perhaps ill-qualified to judge their performances.

Correction. He's playing as well as any other prop in SL.

Thats a comment straight out of the Tony Smith rule of statements. icon_wink.gif

The front row makes a big difference to a packs performance. Second rowers do not make a pack.

I think a pack is composed of all 6 players in it (allowing for interchange). I'm not convinced you want to be 2nd best in either department. Hooker is also an important role. I assume Hendo will play there tomorrow for Wakey? Again, not seen much, but I'd be amazed if he's in better form than Diskin, who has hit a bit of form of late.

Whilst he's made two vital errors in the last two games at least he hasn't hid from the ball like some of our forwards.'"

Dont want to say I told you so, but I said this around the beginning of the season.

FWIW, (surprise surprise some of you might say), IMO TS has lost the plot.
Thackray has been one of our, if not our best prop of the season. Nothing has been said about him being injured AFAIK, so one can only assume he is dropped.
With Bailey injured as well, is TS deliberatly sending our backs out to play behind a beaten pack?

The bloke is a joke.

Really? You've never mentioned it.

He may or may not have been dropped for disciplinary reasons. We don't know the reasons, so it would be wrong to assume anything either way wouldn't it?

I would have discipline reasons as well if I knew that __________ * was my boss.

That is the area which has caused most of the debate though, and not having Thackray there weakens our front row. If he has been dropped due to a couple of recent errors and not down to disciplinary problems, then it is a harsh call IMO.
