| Really enjoyed it.
Not sure how much we can actually take from it but Sezer, Austin and Myler looked really comfortable together.
Good to see Tetevano playing prop, thought Cam Smith was excellent and Newman looked a level above everyone in the second half.

| Quote: Clearwing "Well, early days and a friendly to boot but some things looked more as they should. Liked some of the kicking from hand and having Myler playing off 2 halves worked well. Energy levels weren't bad either. Pleased we went with a strong side but good to give some of the younger guns a run out too.'"
Not sue anyone can read anything from that.
Incredibly week Trinity line up, starting 1-7 missing and half a pack.
The only thing I’d say is Sezer looks a good signing but Austin looks past it to me, slower than a one legged dog.

What do you think RL runs off, fairy dust?
And you need cash more than most.

| I thought that was about as expected. With the side Trinity had available we needed to be around +40. Cam Smith, Newman, Myler all looked sharp with Sezer adding something different. I worry about us down the middle this year still - add Prior and Holroyd into our front row and we’re much better.
Add Fusitu’a, maybe Sutcliffe, Holroyd and Prior in particular, the side looks stronger. Some nice touches.
Walker is going to have his work cut out getting past Myler on that form. He looked very dangerous linking in with both half backs.

Agree with that. Sezer went well considering he’s been out for a good while, took his try well. Thought Austin went well too, his kicking game was very decent. Newman looked sharp and thought Tindall did well when he came on. Lovely to see young Sinfield have a good hand in the Briscoe try and kicked a cracking goal

| One thing stood out a mile today - Sezer is pure class -keep him fit and we can build a team round him - best kicking game from a Rhino for years.
One worry - when our stand off can`t run more than 20 yards from an interception.
Can`t wait for the season to start.

| Tindall didn’t get many minutes but looked really strong with ball in hand.

| Myler, Newman, Briscoe, Sezer, Austin played really well for me and looks like the battle for the places is definitely on. I also thought young sinfield played well in his small stint at the end of the game.
Tetevano is suited to prop and would have him constantly there stints with Oledzki, Prior, Holroyd. Smith & Bentley would fit well with consistent 13.

Agree but we need to see him tested in D again.

| Agree with most of what people have already put. Really like Tetevano at prop. Also liked Bentley had a good game in defence

| Weve the makings of a very competitive team if we can stay relatively injury free in key positions.

Come on , this is us we’re taking about. Recent history doesn’t suggest that….!

| Thought the pack played well but need to remember they weren`t up against much.
Must keep Tetavano at prop and Smith LF.
Leeming for me the only weak link but did enough just.
Half backs good and Myler who was my player of the year a well deserved mom.
Not sure where Walker fits in barring injuries.
One more decent prop and we have the makings of a top 4.
What happened to Muzzy?

| Some pleasing aspects in the shape of the kicking from hand of our 6 and 7 and the performance of Myler and newman in particular. Thought Leeming was pretty poor in his decision making and Sinfield had to do well on his involvement on the try by first picking the ball out of his ear.

| Smith had a strong game I thought. There is a very good rugby league player in there - but of an old-fashioned type almost but none the worse for that.
I’m guessing Muizz didn’t make the squad in the end? Maybe carrying a knock. His problem is he’s too small for prop and has Mik and Tom clearly ahead of him there. Then you look at the back row with Bentley, Gannon, Walters etc and that looks tough too. Sure we’ll see him in the Jan friendlies.
