With a salary cap around double Super League, it’s likley he will get a substantial pay rise.

The dollar is only at 1.7ish to the pound aswell so on paper will be earning more, although having lives in Sydney for 3 years, most of his salary will be eaten up in paying rent!

He's far too slow for that comp. Again only IMO of course. However, like many before him in the NRL he could easily switch position to the backrow and then the pace becomes and asset.

Doubt he's slower than Pat Richards and he did alright on his return. Also sure that any team signing him will know what they're getting. Best in the world at what he does

With respect that's nonsense. You rarely see any wingers in broken field in the NRL so raw pace is not a must, for wingers it's pretty much all about being able to finish in traffic close to the line, bringing the ball back and being solid in defence. All things Hall is very good at.
I do think for the NRL to have seen the best of Ryan hall he should have gone circa 2012 but he will still go down well imo even past his very best.

Not sure what NRL you are watching, with respect but it certainly doesn’t sound like the matches every week on sky. There is some super quick mobile wingers in the NRL, whom also have benefit of size, and they show these talents very often.
I also very much doubt Hall will not be found out in his weakness of defensive kicks over there. They often utilise that high kick at end of sets.

Yet the best of the best in the NRL have not been able to exploit 'his weakness' in 30-odd tests. Hall has proven time and time again he is more than a match for his Aussie counterparts on the international scene.
Yes he's not an out and out flyer like an Addo-Carr, but he is still a super winger, and will do perfectly well in the NRL I'm sure.
I am the first to say how far ahead the NRL is from Super League, but there are certain players over here who would still excel in the NRL - Hall is definitely one of those in my opinion, if not, he'd have struggled at international level against them.

But Hall's game has never been built around pace, he was never a speedster. As superted says, Hall has nearly always looked on of the best three quarters on the pitch in games against Australia and NZ since he started playing internationals and he was still fantastic in the WC despite being outside a back rower. We will soon see anyway.

| I think he'll be back quickly too but purely down to the culture of Sydney. He's a bright lad and I think he'll struggle with it.

| Good luck to him - Ryan has been a brilliant servant to the club.
I guess Danny McGuire's try record is safe for a while
