| GH said Kev will "take over some of my responsibilities and all the responsibilities of the previous Head Coach." Lowes is effectively assistant, whatever his title, while Kev is Head Coach with a bit of CEO.

| For an anouncement about the new coach, it does talk an awful lot about our new director of rugby. Lowes hardly gets a mention. Sir Kev will be running the show for certain. I think we should read Director of Riugby as Coach and coach as assistant. I'll happily take that.

Bugger. If I'd had known that I would have applied.

Perhaps I'm just cyncial, but DoR just stinks of preventing another Keiron Cunningham situation where a club legend has to get sacked when results don't go our way.'"
Thats exactly why hes got that job title imo
Chuffed with this if im honest

| Despite Kev repeatedly saying he has no interest in coaching. Fair play he has answered the call but we are clearly a club in crisis

He will be like a football manager rather than coach. Lowes will be Brian Kidd to alex Ferguson, lowes is a good coach just never been at the rigjt club, with Kev overseeing should go well.

I think its the extra responsibility that’s lured him back, he will take over GH at some point

Some thing to get the fans back onside.
Just think it's too soon for Sinfield and as you say, the cheap option in Lowes. We need a proven coach that can build a new team

| Interesting times ahead for Leeds. Does Sinfield have any coaching experience at all? It's a hell of a first appointment for someone new to coaching. There are plenty of examples of former players moving into the coaching role and things ending in tears.

| Absolutely over the moon that he's back. As all Leeds fans are. Very interesting to see how he goes as a head coach now. Along with other duties.
Kev really is the hero we need. He always answers our call. LIGHT THE SINFIELD SIGNAL

| As I suggested on the other thread just what is needed right now - minimal disruption but a figure head who has been in the trenches and knows what is required to win the war.

| So if we win the next 4 games does Lowes get the job next season?
Let's hope the old friends act doesn't take effect when Sinny keeps Ablett, JJB and Delaney for another season and hopes Moon will eventually become the SO we are looking for and Sutcliffe is given another chance in yet another position in the starting line up.
Whilst I'm delighted Sinfield is back I would prefer to see an established coach from the NRL working alongside him.
Apart from Sinny apparently doing all the coaching alongside JP when he was playing. Does he have any official coaching skills on his cv?
