| Jonesy has been a great servant to the club and is up there with some of the legends for the club maybe not for his ability but his heart and passion definitely he has always given 100%, but I think it's time he hung up the boots he body can't take the bangs and knocks anymore and there is plenty of options for us in the back row department and also he will take quite abit of salary cap up but I hope he has a speedy recovery and it is up to him what he does with his career.

| Gutted for Jonesy! True club legend. Still has much to offer our club this season, even if it's not on the field.

| I would be gutted to lose jjb. Heart and soul of the team, but by the looks of it his body just can't take it any more.

| It certainly looked like a serious knee injury which would be 6 to 12 months to repair. Tragic for JJB to miss out on a possible treble.

| Gutted for him. Hopefully he gets to play again as he still has something to offer, does the stuff for the team that sometimes goes unnoticed. I have said before he has one of the biggest hearts in the game if someone the size of Chris feather had Jonesy heart and drive he would have been an absolute world beater.
Even not playing he will have a lot to offer the team and def someone we should be trying to keep around the club in some capacity

| Age beats every good player eventually.
Remember his early career games, and wasn't sure he'd make it, but he's proved me wrong big time.
Hope for a speedy recovery

| Such a sad way for anyone to end their season and possibly career but given jjb is one of our very own Golden Generation it's a heavier blow imo.
Of course it would be great to see him play again and go out on his own terms and he's certainly one of those players who's heart and appetite for the Club/Sport can never be questioned but i do think this could be the curtain falling on a brilliant Rhinos career.

I meant it in terms of undignified - its like a gladiator being carried from the arena on his last appearance. Very sad to see him go out that way.

Really? About as bad as it gets. If he's snapped his patella tendon he could have also snapped his knee cap in half.
I played a game of league many years ago where one guy snapped his patella tendon. He was off work for over a year (and all he did was work in insurance), lost his job and then his wife left him. Now, I'm not saying Mrs JJB is going to do that but it's very unpleasant.
If it is JJB's last game then it's exactly how I expected him to go out. With a shattering injury after giving everything for nearly 80 minutes to get Leeds to a final.
That's the way the Vikings wanted to finish. He's off to rugby Valhalla.

I agree its gonna take some serious rehab from this to get back again and at 33/34 its going to be very tough for him.If he decides to carry on i wish him well in his recovery but it if it is to be his last game, like you say, he has gone out on his shield like the true warrior he has always been.

It sums the man up perfectly, he knew he'd just suffered a serious injury and was in massive pain but rather than just stay on the ground his devotion and attitude towards his teammates made him get up and play the ball to help keep up the pressure.

| Stuff I've seen says minimum 6 months, more likely 12 to return to action. Sorry to say, but I think that's it for JJB. With him likely to be back only in time for the very back end of next season, the question needs to be asked whether he'll be worth a deal for 2017, and given fitness concerns stretching back to 2012 I'm sorry but the answer is probably no.
Real shame for him to go out this way, but no doubt he'll be staying around the club in some capacity, a true Leeds Legend.
