| That's better!!!
Sounds like Keinhorst justified his selection in the second row??!!. Pleased for the lad. Maybe he could be an unexpected bonus 'find' for the rest of the season

He did, had an excellent game.
Keinhorst,Hardaker,, Ward, and McGuire were superb. Hall did some tough work, and Singleton and Kylie looked very good.
Usual really, sometimes some great rugby, sometimes some poor. Defence goes to sleep too many times, usually by same players.
Had we took our chances, margin would have been bigger. Did Michaels really score that try? As looked well over line.
And why oh why does MCDermott continue to leave players on the pitch who are quite clearly struggling with injury?

| McGuire with a suspected broken ankle. Suttcliffe, Ward, and Cuthbertson also picked up knocks.

| I followed the game on 5 Live and it sounded like we ground out an ugly win at the cost of a few injuries. In the post match interview McD was not a happy man at all ref Sneyds ankle twisting tackle on Danny. He was particularly P'd off that Danny was binned for 10 minutes as well for retaliating (which wasn't clear on the 5 live commentary, they indicated McGuire had gone off injured). He really let rip and said it as he saw it, ie McGuire was only trying to stop the ankle twist before his leg got broken. I hope he (McD) doesn't cop a fine for that.
Hopefully the back room boys and girls can get enough of the injured back for next week so we can progress in the CC as well.
Back on top! a nice way to mark my 1000th post. It's only taken me a smidge over 13 years

It's almost like they were out to hurt us before the cup game.
Sneyd should be looking at a few weeks out at least.
Zak Hardaker showed why we need him fit every week, he's just class. Anyone who saw that game and can still say that him missing the last few games didn't have much of an effect need their heads checking.

Don't think I've ever seen McDermott so pi55ed off. McGuire, Cuthbertson, Suttcliffe, definitely out next week. Cuthbertson has torn his calf - to say that win came at a price is an understatement.

| Got to be honest, and I can't say I had a great view of the incident, but probably the same as MCDermott, but I didn't see twisting of the ankle. Holding definitely. If there was twisting then it needs to be dealt with severely, as that makes it intentional.

| Keinhorst was brilliant, great in attack and defence for the majority, and brilliant pass for the last trie.
Walters however different story, I thought he was a great prospect last season, this season he just doesn't seem to bring anything, very poor at best today.

| Not too keen on that seemingly new rule either, where we have to have a man leave the field everytime there's a scrum

| I don't know, but assume that depending on how bad the tear it could be season ending I found this online
"Calf strain may be minor or very severe. Your physiotherapist will grade the injury accordingly:
Grade 1:
The muscle is stretched causing some small micro tears in the muscle fibres. Recovery takes approximately 2 to 4 weeks if you do all the right things.
Grade 2:
There is partial tearing of muscle fibres. Full recovery takes approximately 4 to 8 weeks with good rehabilitation.
Grade 3:
This is the most severe calf strain with a complete tearing or rupture of muscle fibres in the lower leg. Full recovery can take 3-4 months and, in some instances, surgery may be needed"
Now obviously the above applies to ordinary folk rather than supremely fit athletes with access to the best physio care, but it still sounds bad. If he is out for a good few weeks, it is stating the obvious to say that it could have a massive effect our season

Said elsewhere Leeds could win the treble dependent on injuries (Leeds' and other team's). I also said our key men would have a huge bearing on this. Unfortunately of those IMO 7 'key players' it looks like we have lost 2 of the very best in addition to the continued loss of Briscoe.....Suddenly I feel very depressed again and a cup exit on Friday now beckons.
At least Hardaker and our new storming second rower are the bright spots which might just (in a trying to be optimistic as best I can) be enough to carry the team through to a famous season finale.......
