| I hope it's just a temporary problem, whilst obviously not a bulls supporter it would be disaster for the whole of the league if they folded.
My concern now is the same as when he took over the club, namely has he got enough money to take the club forward and be successful . I suspect he his relatively rich but not in the same league as Paul Caddick , or rich enough to pump millions into the club. It will be harder now to run the club when you are late paying wages, as it flags up danger signals to all and sundry. Especially if you want to borrow money from the banks.
I am not certain how Wakefield are at the moment, every so often conflicting reports emerge from them regarding the financial situation at the club. I gather quite a few clubs are struggling , worrying times indeed.

| The question I would ask is will they have enough cash to get them through the off season (assuming they don't make the playoffs) with little or no income from September onwards.

The Bulls have had one home fixture in July.
They had no home fixtures in June until the 23rd, three weeks in.
In March they had four away fixtures and one home fixture.
No wonder they have cashflow issues!
They probably have more regular income in the off season from season ticket income than they do for large strecthes of the regular season.

Agree and how many of those clubs would be on the verge of administration on half the Sky money.
I think they are on reduced money next season as well(correct me if I am wrong) so could be in even more difficulties next year.

partially selective in the fact that they had 2 home fixtures in June as you would expect.
May had a home fixture (Leeds) plus magic weekend plus a challenge cup game
april had 2 home fixtures (including Wigan) plus a challenge cup game
February had 3 home fixtures to offset March
I take your point though. But September to January will be 5 months for players to be paid.

| I hope this comes to nothing, but as mentioned earlier their ground did look a little underpopulated on TV. What have their average gates been like this season? I do worry about the prospects for top flight RL, heaven help us if this years World Cup follows a similar financial trajectory to the last one held on these Islands.

I no longer give a crap about them. If they go to the wall and disappear then so be it. They are usually one of the first SL clubs on the scene when other SL clubs are in trouble, either attempting to vote a team out of the comp entirely (eg, London) or asset stripping struggling clubs of their players.
Quote: TOMCAT "but as mentioned earlier their ground did look a little underpopulated on TV. What have their average gates been like this season?'"
Their home attendances are currently 27.27% down on last season and their current average stands at 8797 compared to 12096 (as compared to the same 10 home fixtures last season).

The sport in this country is in a mess alrighty. We really could do without staging the World Cup this year.

Like you give a crap about anything in this sport, with your endless doomsday scenarios and latest percentage point dips in attendance figures. Jeez, go and follow darts or something you sad, sad lwannabee accountant.

I think you'll find that Super League will have to vacate it's Thursday night filler spot on Sky Sports once the Premier League Darts kicks off again.
Now please excuse me while I cry about the loss of Yorkshire Radio and blame Ken Bates for absolutely everything.

Its pretty hard to argue with much of this , whilst not wanting to see the demise of any club , it is becoming increasingly frustrating for the sport watching the bulls limp from one crisis to another .

| I hope that the Bulls can not only keep themselves afloat in their troubled times but also again return to the upper echelons of the SL, as IMO the Bulls demise has probably also cost the Rhinos in the region of £100,000 per home game at least each season
I really miss that intense rivalry that both of our clubs thrived on during our derby hey days of the early 2000's and seeing all those large attendances at both grounds
Anyone else miss these big derby matches with big crowds?
