| I was pleased for Achurch, given more game time and experience it looks like he could make the grade.
Vickery worries me,he seems a bit fragile but let's support him and encourage him and you never know he may make it.
Ryan Hall as usual played well, did some hard yards when our forwards seem to be flagging , I was amused when he failed to catch a sinfield kick , his expression seemed to be how did that happen I never mishandle a kick.

Vickery has had no real opportunities with the ball playing outside Ablett.'"
If Vickery had the opportunities would he take them,I highly doubt it.He still doesn't look like a SL player.

Well yer wrong he had 2 chances against wakey on boxing day and finished both like a seasoned winger and since has hardly had a decent pass to give him a chance of scoring.
I thought he was caught flat footed for one Bulls break down the touchline in the 2nd half but e was much sharper defensively and ran it in fine imo.
Also noted one great take of a high bomb amongst 2 Bulls chasers and tried gamely to get out of our in goal area from a kick through.
Now i'm not proclaiming him to be the next Hall but he improved performance wise and no doubt will gain confidence from it so credit where its due.
RE-OP I thought Achurch looked far more comfortable out there and ran with some venom but again as with Moore i do wonder why they got so little time on the park especially with a very hard game and huge pack awaiting us in France on monday.

Yet he was out of position when we conceded the 40/20 and on quite a few other occasions too.
Hopefully we'll get Hardaker and BJB back soon.

| I thought the pack set a good platform. All 4 props, and Bailey played well but our 2nd row was poor, and with Ablett in the centre's we have no link between the back row and the centres, Delaney has many qualities but his passing to his right in particular is abysmal. I'd also like to see more from Stevie Ward in attack and try and link up better with Moon.

I'd agree with that. I thought the props were good but the backrow was lacking a bit of go-forward and solidity in defence. Delaney didn't look his usual machine-like either.

| I wonder how many times since the start of the season has Vickery actually got a touch of the ball in the opposition 20m? Can hardly remember any.

| What's the betting on Achurch getting dropped for Monday?
The sort of decision our coach normally comes up with.

I think I can remember this happening at least twice in the last two games. He put both those passes down.
There may have been another couple that he held also. Ablett appears to be playing while carrying a knock at present but he has always looked more comfortable playing on the left anyway.
As said previously I'd have favored leaving Ablett to run amok with Moon and Hall - leave Watkins on the right and come up with an alternative solution at full-back.
Here's a little thought - quite literally. If no-one is deemed capable of stepping up from within how about one of Rob Burrow or Danny McGuire? Of course that might mean Paul McShane having to play at dummy-half which it would appear might be a problem for the current coach.

Wouldn't be supprised to see Delaney missing from the Catalans game, noticed that his hamstring was taped up and he appeared to be a bit ginger on it at times.
Regarding Achurch he had a good game and I was supprised by the lack of a second stint. He appears to have shown the right sort of attitude to being dropped and worked on his game. Think he will be a dangerous player when ( or if) the pitches dry up and we get some sort of summer rugby

| Achurch did, indeed, look very good. Makes you wonder why he only got 1 stint on the pitch unlike other less impressive forwards?
On a related note, I'm not sure continually playing Ward in the 2nd row is helping his development or our team.

Agree entirely with that. His defence is superb and he lays his body on the line. But he far more talented and far more creative than he is given opportunities to do. Not able to express himself will definitely not aid development.

I think it's no bad thing that he's exposed to the speed and physicality of the first team without the pivotal responsibilities initially.
