To be fair, I doubt many people would suggest Tomkins as captain. He iosn't really that sort of character. Leave him to do what he does best. Leadership is not a helpful responsibility for more off-the-cuff players in my view.

I did admit to it, to be fair. Which is the first step towards rehabilitation.

If his form holds up I hope he retains it for the following year where his leadership skill set will be required.

He's playing way too many games. He's no spriing chicken this will catch up with him soon.

But when? He's 32 now, which is supposed to be the back end of a career, and he's just had two seasons where the only other game that he could have played was the 2011 WCC, which we didn't qualify for. If it was going to be a dramatic catching up scenario, I'd have expected it to show by now.

Fair enough choice. He's been the most influential skipper in SL for some time. Still not sure where I'd play him - prob at 13.

He's amazing isn't he.

I'd also play him at Loose Forward.
